That's true, but when I bought it in Canada, and most of the community here is overseas, and you want a perfect copy to arrive in the mail, I have to spend gas, spend time packing, spend money on materials, line up at the post office.

To be honest, 50 dollars is pretty much "at cost" for me when I consider what I value all those things to be worth. Shipping is what will be the most expensive thing, because it's a large box.

While we're on the subject, does anyone know the dimensions or weight of this thing?

. . .anyhoo, was chatting to this guy who works in GAME at Gateshead Metrocentre - heavily into CEs and seemed pretty knowledgeable - who claims that only 300 of the Loot Chests are made for the UK. I assume that's 300 for each format but, hey, THAT's pretty limited if true.

He said that originally there were only going to be 100 but the publishers bowed to fan pressure and agreed to another 100 then a further 100.

If anybody could corroborate this then i'd be interested to know . . .:scratch:

I have not looked at this thread in a long time...it's kind of sad in parts. I almost feel guilty that I preordered 2 copies.

Honestly though I preordered them the DAY I found out they were available and that just happened to be day one. I normally order 2 of antything that is numbered or otherwise going to be guaranteed hard to find in the future. One to open and one to collect. I've never understood the concept of scalping games. I once bought 2 copies of Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold Edition and sold one for the price I paid for to. I mean I started it at the price for one game and it just got that high, but I remember feeling really dirty after packaging it and sending it out. I ill never do that again.

Sorry for getting off topic. My mane purpose for posting was to say that if, for some crazy reason, my Gamestop has any cancelled orders that I can get a hold of I will pick them up for you guys. I figure it's a safe bet that they will be wanted.

I know it's really unlikely that they will be available to me, seeing as employees were trying to buy my second copy from me, but I will try my best. There are 2 Gamestops and a Best Buy near where I live. I will check all of them.

And, for the record, I am a "brokeass" who just got lucky with timing and can manage buying CEs because you can put 20-30 bucks down on a game every week at GS.

Then, dispatched around the world to the different resellers, I'm sure that doesn't make that much... Maybe 1,000 or 1,500 copies per store and per region ?
That said, I'm pretty sure that it's really out of stock everywhere, 'cause a thousand of pre-orders is easily reached on sites like Amazon or Game or whatever.

I've heard here and there about the "10,000 copies only" thing. But the information was never confirmed, even on the official GearBox forum.
I guess the photo of the certificate is the most reliable info we can have. ;)

They could have easily built the loot cheat from the game, most tool boxes and tackel boxes have the slots that lift out and up like the ingame one

Got to say I'm quite dissapointed with final look of some content. Only map looks better than on concept, artbook and steelbook are nicely done as well. Field notes of Sir Hammerlock it's just thin little paperback booklet, creatures of Pandora artwork it's just wide folded soft paper and Vending Machine Box look pretty cheap. I thought it will be made by plastic at least. The whole box looks pretty cheap and fragile too and honestly I'm dissapointed at all. The big minus for me is that the loot chest doesn't have special placement for whole content. Everything except Marcus bobblehead is outside, you can put all stuff here but it will be mess. Now I don't regret missing pre-orders too much, but I still want this edition.

The same thing has happened to me. I emailed them so hopefully they get it sorted otherwise they won't get another penny from me.

I want to remain confident that they will sort it but as long as they get them sold to someone then I'm sure that's all they will care about. The sooner exclusives stop going to Game the better as nothing has changed. Just my opinion anyway.

Same thing has happened to me. I looked on their twitter page and they are saying that it is a glitch on the system and the orders that have been cancelled will not be going back up to pre order to others online. They are saying that any order that has been cancelled will be reinstated on monday so best to contact them then. The number to contact is at the bottom of the email they have sent out and also been posted by a member here :) hope we all manage to get our orders back. good luck guys

Over the past 12 months I have had a lot of problems with GAME - some orders are going through but most of them are being cancelled - no reasons. I've spent a lot of time on the phone to customer services to find out what the problem is and I am still none the wiser. I too have had this order cancelled, yet an order placed a couple of weeks ago has gone through. Totally erratic.

hello all, my order was cancilled aswell, i got through to them late friday and just again today, it took me half an hour to get through on web chat, i had to keep refreshing but got there in the end, they took my phone number and rang me about 3 mins later (quite impressed with that part) my order is now all sorted out and should be comming through on friday as before :) im so glad lol, just incase you where wondering mine was also cancilled due to the card changing, mine diddnt expire like most mine was stolen so they sent me a new one but same thing lol. hope this helps someone :)

As far as I know, after reading related topics on http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/, the ULCE is 53,160 overall copies.

So, there should only be 17,720 copies per platform (PC / Xbox / PS3), if it's equally dispatched.
Certificates are common for all 3 versions 'cause it "counts" the number of manufactured Chests, no matter what the version of the game is in for (PC, Xbox or PS3).

Concerning the missing Marcus Bobblehead figures, there's still no official answer from Gearbox... But most of the people complaining about the missing item had pre-ordered or bought their ULCE at Gamestop. So, rumors start to spread about a Gamestop's trickery.
Anyway, there are just rumors... And a problem on the assembly line is possible.

I was lucky enough to find one in-store today, and I didn't pre-order. The guy at the shop told me that his distributor had over 200 requests for this edition from stores in the surrounding area, and that they only were able to fulfill 20 requests. Mine had been requested for that store a while back, so I lucked out big time.

Do you all think they'll actually make more of this edition? I don't see how they can do that since they are limited to a set amount, and all units have already been distributed. Maybe they'll make variants?

Mine was missing the Bobblehead. 2K Games is accepting support calls and emails to get it "fixed". They sent me an email with a list of pictures to take (receipt, items etc) and I sent that stuff in.

Hopefully they replace it. The bobblehead itself wasn't the only thing missing. The plastic insert that holds the bobblehead box in place, within the loot chest, is also missing. I have a hunch that won't be replaced, which irks me quite a bit. I like putting stuff out on display for awhile, and when I decide to rotate stuff out I box it back up and store it. Without the plastic insert I'll only be able to put the bobblehead box in there loose where it will freely move about the cabin.

Apart from PAL editions getting a standalone Steelbook with a normal case covered by a slip case (most likely the same as the vault edition), the large post cards we got only has a strap of paper containing it whereas the US got a flimsy cardboard-envelope-like to protect them! Just some minor differences, but I kinda like ours better ;)

My certificate is at the 31k mark....sooooo close to Number #1 :D :v:

I picked up my ULC on release day from Gamestop and had no problems with it, and my friends who got the ULC also no problems -- that is, we all got our bobbleheads. I don't think Gamestop is the culprit, unless your local Gamestop employees have somehow been opening packages to steal the bobbleheads without breaking any of the seals...because apparently they are magic. Anyhow, just putting my 2-cents in. Probably a factory error.
