Lol... sorry Ing is is claimed. I keep forgettting you are a big AC fan as well, I always think of you as the PS3 Press Kit collector (well Sony PKs). Now I feel bad. I promise if I find another I will contact you first ;)

I envy you guys that can easily get this piece of rare collectibles :(

It is not easy... really it is time and luck. Well money too but that comes and goes so fast I can't keep track half the time. With my new PS4 and recent Press Kits I am just sad when I look in the checking account.

You are not alone on this, my friend! Luckily for me, I'm more inclined to collect vintage games (classic franchises) and just occasionally some recent stuff really catches my eyes.

Funny thing is I was never into vintage for some reason... but all the stuff we have now will be vintage soon enough.

No we here in the US have to get things from EU... most promo items of value come from over there. Press Kit rarely release over here.

I suppose we have convention items but so do you.

Shipping is never free from overseas for us. Not sure where you are getting that from. Even US sellers rarely get these items until way later and rarely offer free shipping even within the country... especially on high end items like Press Kits.

I am not sure if you mean you country in particular but EU events off the top of my head are Gamescom and Eurogamer.

Most of my items I'm getting either from US or EU and shipping fee is always steep for me.
I rarely gets free shipping, I don't expect it actually.

at least you got US releases and you can get it free shipping or pick up sometimes. and I believe mcfarlane statue are free shipping to US? thats so sweet

Some retailers offer free shipping... usually only over a certain price point but some offer it always.

And CEs are crapshoots... as in which ever side of the pond you are one the one you cannot get will always look better (or almost always). Plus free shipping on games over here is not overnight shipping.

Thanks! Definitely my favorite Press Kit. I had one already but always wanted to get one in perfect condition... luckily Ingmar need the $, so he was kind enough to sell it to me.

Damn I was just thinking about how I need to start collecting Darksiders stuff. Love all of it!

Yeah... it is actually one of my favorite items. It is really nice too... when i first saw pics of it i assumed it was plastic but it is actually some king of high end material (polystone or resin)... and then pen part on the end is solid brass.

It is an item I got a long while back but as i said I just want to update some of my old low quality pics.

It is an old item... just upgrading my collection pics ;) Will do more later. My older pics are low quality so i want to update all of them and organize them.

But yeah that pen is in my top 5 of favorite items.

Actually that was everything that is inside of the "The Book of War" Press Kit (except for the sides of the book which I should take pics of... I will do that today, and under the promo disc).

I know it is lacking in pages, but I love the look of it... like how it looks like an alternate bible. I kind of like how it does not have a lot pf pages in it... for one simple reason: with some of my other kits like the inFAMOUS PKs there is tons of cool art work inside and I really want to look at it but looking at it means taking it out over and over again and potentially damaging it over time from use.

I will try and get some pics of some of the pages from the PC Hellbook (Darksiders.com only) Pre-Order Book for you. There are quite a few pages in it so I will probably just take pics of a few, also the hardcover spine is still nice and rigid so I will not be opening it very far to do so.

As far as the Pre-Order Art Book goes the binding is just brand new and has never been opened and looked at. I can open it slightly without breaking it in but it is not enough to get pics of.... sorry. I just cannot bring myself to break in the binding.

Okay... I will try and post the pics I took of my open Hellbook later tonight.

After that I hope to put down all the new pics (and a few older ones) within a couple posts within the next day and a half or so.

I got the calendar off of an eBay seller... and I really like it. A lot of my recent finds like that I did not know existed. The calendar is now one of my favorite Darkisders items.

As far as the Batman Batarang having a volume button I am almost positive it did not.

Yup, the resin one is from the FR CE. It is really good quality. The quality difference in those 2 masks is amazing. One is a thin light plastic 2-piece shell and the other is solid resin.

I see a bunch if collectables for darksiders 2 but there's not much of darksiders 1 is it because there isn't that much collectables for DS1?

Also have you ever considered getting the death statue? The one on his horse that lights up.

DS1= 22 items

DS2 = 24 items

Do not be fooled my multiple pics of the same item, and you may be missing that there are 4 pages of items in that photo album I linked. Also some of D2s items are small "meh" items... like the CE at books, event cards, and guides. But I would say DS2 probably has a few extra promo items but surprisingly DS1 has almost as many.

As for the SOTA Death statue, or the War one for that matter... I did not like the looks of them. I think the LEDs in them are cheesy in that case. Also they just do not look consistent in the design.

Yes iPhone 5 I believe. Well it is the newest iPhone version and iPhone is by far the most popular. Just something cool and potentially useful they wanted to put in the kit I assume.

Who knows on a new game... I know if I was in the gaming business I would not buy the rights to an IP unless I was planning on doing something profitable with it. Who knows on a new game... I know if I was in the gaming business I would not buy the rights to an IP unless I was planning on doing something profitable with it. Yeah, if they do another i hope they at least consult Joe and get a few of the old Vigil guys to work on it.

It's funny but Fallout is probably the poster child for a good sequel from a new developer and I still consider it a significant compromise from the first 2 games

I was fairly disappointed by Fallout 3 when they revealed it as they turned if from a strict Isometric RPG with turn based combat into a FPS/TPS shooter with RPG elements imo

I did learn to love Fallout 3 and New Vegas for what they are but I consider the games separate from the first 2

I never played the first 2 and I never would as I hate slow feeling RPGs like those (or is not kind of turn based?).

I am in the crowed who loved Fallout 3, I liked it a lot better then New Vegas.

Well I suppose I am lucky as I know the one franchise I want to collect for more the any other and that gives me more of a focus on what I look for.

If you have one too it will only be a matter of time before you have a similar collection ;) Takes time but if you look enough you will find just about everything you want.

Yeah the Launch Kit is pretty nice for what it is.

Not sure on the tri-pod, the camera is pretty nice... will depend on how serious I decide to get with making content and if people respond to the content..

Thanks, and no prob.

I unboxed it for a few reasons really:

1. To do the unboxing for people.

2. There were no identifying marks on the box so I wanted to be absolutely sure, and it made it being sealed much less appealing... plus it is still appealing by having the original box with it opened or not.

3. No one here seemed to be interested in it being sealed (well at least as far as buying it... could be my price was high but I do not think it was compared to what they normally sell for). If someone wanted it when I listed it here on the forum as sealed I would have just sold it that way... but again for about a week no one was (not even one offer).

good decission, any buyer would have wanted to open anyways to verify contents and its just a plain box although its nice to know it will be in very good condition because it was never opened which could raise value by a little bit,.

You mean total made? I cannot know. They were only given out to members of the gaming press at E3 2011. This is the first signed one i have seen so I jumped on it when I saw it.

There was a seller on eBay that had a few sets, but that was a pretty long time ago and i do not see them there anymore.

But exactly a year ago I started taking payments on it to sell it as a member here wanted it (Doomsayer) and I needed the money badly then. I still have it but am getting ready to ship it out when I get the last payment soon. A bit sad to see it go, but I was never super excited by it. Cool item and by far the rarest Darksiders 2 item... I would trade it any day for one of the 2ft War statues (one day I will find that grail).

Did you not see that there was a leak that Nordic Games is releasing Darksiders 2 Definitive Edition on PS4? Fingers crossed they included Darksiders 1 as that is the one I want. Also hopefully it will sell well enough for them to invest in Darksiders 3.

Got three new statues. First two arrived in these past few days but sadly both were broken. Third one should be here Tuesday and I hope that one is fine.

The first one was brand new and is a Darksiders Samael statue... the leg armor broke off compeltey and the chains are shattered.

The second one is a Duke Nukem 3D statue and I knew it had a spot where the monster's tongue was broken (it was not said in the listing but I noticed it and told the seller before hand) but when I got it that was not the only thing wrong. The blade on the monster's weapon had been broken off and glued back, and also the fins on the weapon were broken off. Another small thing I noticed was the nose has a chip or paint missing.

So the Darksiders one the seller gave me all but the shipping back and i keep the statue, on the other one I pointed out the issue and before I even got a reply the seller refunded me completely and said to keep it. I am not sure if I am very unlucky for the damage, or very lucky for the refunds.

Here is the Darksiders Samael one... I am going to attempt fix it and will take pics to show you guys later on how well it went:

I already figured out where each big chain piece goes but as you say they will be very hard to fix if at all.

I actually did not get all my money back for the Darksiders one... the did not give me the shipping amount back. They offered to send me a new one and I was going to do that. Yikes! Rough time with statues. :( At least the sellers were quick to refund the money (or most of it, anyway) and you didn't have to go through the lengthy open case process.

I am curious what kind of glue you use to repair statues/figures that are plastic. I've found superglue just melts plastics and isn't useful at all.

Yeah I got lucky with the sellers... but even with the money back it still is frustrating as broken statues are not what i wanted.

These are not plastic. Also it would depend on the type of plastic and the type of super glue you use as to weather it would melt it some. Sometimes there is not much you can do, all depends on the circumstances... context is everything.

The statues I have are all resin or polystone. I recently fixed a polystone statue and I used super glue to set the small pieces in place and then coated them with a thin layer of clear hard epoxy around the areas that broke.

With the Samael I may have to use hotglue o the leg armor since it was only initially held on by a very small attachment spot. Then I will use superglue on the chains and then a hard epoxy coating.

Well I finished the first step of the leg armor and chains on the leg armor... and also the chain belt.

There were 30 glue points on the leg armor alone due the chains being shattered (the little black dots I put on the underside are all glue spots). The good news is I found where everything went, but the bad news is one am missing one piece as you can see in the last chain pic. The chain belt was completely fixed and that had 7 spots to glue alone.

Now I will coat the points where I glues with hard epoxy. Then I will glue the leg armor back on and be done ;) Will take more pics when ti is completely finished. Maybe tomorrow if I decide to do the epoxying tonight or not.

Yeah it sucks.

It is only missing one small piece. I fixed it almost compeltey but for some reason i lost a small piece.

And, yeah, polystone or resin is much easier to work with. I got the Bioshock CE with the Big Daddy for cheap because I bought one with a broken drill tip. Super glued the tip back on and it looks like it was never broken.

Actually I just realized this is plastic, or PVC. I thought it was resin at first. Not surprised though, the SOTA statues always looked a bit iffy to me. This one was the least cheesy of the Darksiders line up IMO.

Thanks! Worked pretty hard on it :D To be honest I enjoy fixing things like this... but I hate it when I cannot finish due to missing a piece. But it looks good for an almost free statue :D

Yeah the piece is not noticeable really. If you did not know you would have to really get close and look at it for a while to notice.

BTW, I am not sure if I asked. Did the Bioshock Concept Statue arrive undamaged?

It is not official. It is a unofficial Chinese one... but it was the only one I liked the looks of. I got mine from eBay a couple years ago. I had to ask for the mask that had red stripes though (so I got 3 heads instead of 2... 2 masks and 1 unmasked).

It is an amazing statue. Actually I would say it is the best quality and most detailed I have ever owned (Fad/Gary did and amazing job). For the price they are a steal (to will not fine one of this quality at that price ever again I assure you).

Lol... well I only really keep my Darksiders stuff and some other odds and ends like the inFAMOUS statue. I have a display case and small table in my room that i display my statues on. But they are full right now.
