If true, they just robbed a bunch of people of preorder deposits. I don't care that they are non-refundable. If you are not going to ever produce the item, the deposit should be refunded. Terrible company.

You should contact your credit card company again and ask for a manager. The first person I talked to said the deposit was too long ago, but after I protested that assertion with a supervisor about the obvious inequity of refusing coverage when I put money down in good faith to a company that 2 years later fails to deliver the product. The supervisor corrected the first agent in that the 6 month window (or whatever it is) doesn't apply to preordered goods. They are currently working on refunding everything I paid to Triforce. Anyway, not sure what answer you will get but thought I'd at least share it and maybe worth it for you to try again on your deposit.

Cheers JC

Yeah, it really sucks guys. I was actually excited for this statue too. It had a unique pose that no AC statue in my collection has.

I don't know if those ebay listings are legit are not. A lot of people just list their pre-order for sale and don't actually have the item in hand. I went on youtube and there's not a single unbox video done by someone other than Triforce's channel. So wondering if any production units made it out at all.

On a positive note, the Iron Studios Bayek is slated for release in September 2018. I like the look of the figure overall, but the face doesn't look like in-game Bayek at all

Yeah, its pretty wack looking. The good news is that the price is relatively low at $125 and it's made of polystone.

I would really like an unhooded Bayek and Aya that look like they do in the game. Origins has IMHO the most dynamic Character personalities since Ezio. I find myself really drawn to the tragic relationship saga of Bayek and Aya and would probably enjoy playing Amunet as the primary game character in a future installment. I love how they continued the original story line in the Hidden Ones and Look forward to seeing what happens in the Pharos campaign soon to be released. Perhaps we see the sealing of Cleo's fate in line with the Amunet Statue bio given in Ezio's basement during AC2.

Unfortunately the only Aya statue (the small vinyl from UBISOFT) does not at all convey her in game likeness and personality. I am really happy I scored the legendary edition because that massive Bayek statue does convey his likeness and I enjoy it every day. Even the smallest thing like the tiny eagle amulet on his neck faithfully reproduces the creed emblem on the underside like the emblem imprint made in the sand during the game when Bayek tossed it down and Aya picked it up. Anyway, I digress but would really like to see a better Aya statue.

Cheers

JC

I tried, but they refused to budge.

May not be worth it to you to spend more time on it, but my Bank did it and I think it is certainly fair (what your bank's policy means you can never preorder anything for fear that a failure of the vendor to deliver would leave you exposed by your banks protection window?). Just a thought that you may want to contact your state attorney general or consumer protection agency (like BBB)? Sometimes they can apply additional pressure that might make a difference.

Anyway sorry to hear

JC
