So how is the quality of the steelbook? People are selling it for even more then the geo one.

Because they are harder to get than the GEO.
There are a bunch of GEO RE2 to sell on ebay, none (or close to it) of these Taiwan ones

Last time I have seen it on ebay it was sold for 49$.

The Geo Steelbook is more expensive then this one but easier to get then the TW Steelbook Edition of RE 2.
