It's a non-working prototype of a Gamecube controller which is in the same picture. The box is the box proposed packaging design for the controller and then ofcourse the controller! The controller was ultimately scrapped for reasons I'm unsure of. It was up on ebay last year, or the year before and was priced up for a pretty penny! XD I don't remember seeing it listed with the framed CoA though, so if the OP could provide more info, that'd be cool.
