I pulled slowly and shifted the direction a couple times to keep the pressure even and I had no issues at all. When I was less careful and tried ripping it off like a bandaid, the paper handled it fine but it made me nervous so I don't recommend it....

Doing this will probably void your warranty, as it were, but I don't foresee it causing a problem for anyone concerned about the sticker. Report back if something goes wrong.
