The 10 Best CEs of the Last Generation

Hmm don't have many CE's, but the one I love the most is my Batman Arkham Origins CE. I freaking love the statue and all the other random stuff that come in the box. It's absolutely huge too.

*DISCLAIMER: I will not be considering any press-kits, contest prizes, or other things not readily accessible to consumers (regional market limitation is not an issue though). Also, as I've never owned a PS3, my "last-gen" selections may be slightly biased towards 360, Wii, and PC.

1. Uncharted 3 Collectors Edition
2. Halo Reach Legendary Edition

• Package Design and Quality were exquisite and maintained the theme throughout
• High-quality #'d Statue
• "Diary" included was very high-quality and full of lore/content
• Additional DLC was VERY fan-friendly (and still sells alone for ~$50 online)

3. Assassin's Creed IV Black Chest Edition

• Package Design and Quality were exquisite and maintained the theme throughout
• High-quality Statue Diorama which was "exclusive" to this edition (well, the ship was)
• A VERY nicely done Steelbook was included - how I wish more CEs would do this rather than making it a "pre-order bonus" from a specific retailer
• The Canvas Art pieces were a very-nice addition and also had a "piratey" theme with the stretch across the wooden frames
• A good quality World map is always a good thing to include in games of this nature and I appreciated them not overlooking it here
• The artbook was well-done for the size/type of artbook and was a nice inclusion
• 2 additional Lithos were also nice and went well with other art included in this edition
• The only thing that I feel would've made this a #1 and not a #3 is if they had included some more themed items IN this CE, something unique besides typical artbook/steel etc. If they had included any of the pre-order bonuses like the bag of coins, tankard, spyglass. Those things are nice as pre-order bonuses but considering this was called "Black Chest Edition" they should've included one of these type of things for that ultimate "We rule" boast.
• Ubisoft made a good top-tier CE even better by including all of the DLC offered elsewhere, more companies need to do this regularly! (only thing better would have been if they included a season pass)

7. Reckoning: Kingdoms of Amalur Signature Edition

• Very Limited Run
• High-quality #'d and signed Statue
• Inclusion of D&D themed dice was not as game-related as I would've preferred, but sill a welcome extra
• Signed/Limited Litho

8. Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition

• #'d edition w/COA
• Good quality Ryu State w/effects
• Nice themed prop with inclusion of Black Belt
• Box is simple yet elegant in design
• Soundtracks, Videos, DLC Galore (though would've been better on disc)
• Inclusion of more than 1 game is a nice bonus

9. Lord of The Rings: War in The North Collector's Edition (US)

• Package Design and Quality were fantastic! Excellently themed and unique CE case which also contained game (Leather Quiver)
• Map Design was unique and fit the theme attached between two "arrows" and also a decent quality
• DLC was neat as a themed Avatar outfit, but nothing too extraordinary
• Included artbook was also a decent quality - though not extremely high-end
• They took a bit of a risk with this CE going against the standard "big box" US editions and for this it is one of my favorite CEs still. The only thing that would've ranked this higher in my book is if they included the steelbook from other regions

Oh what Wii CEs were there for the Wii? I can only think of Skyward Sword and the Last Story I think had one too.

Hey is that definitely the statue that comes with the CE for this, I've looked everywhere and only seem to find ones with a non bronze looking statue. Maybe its NA or region based.

That's the Omega with statue and steelbook, only available in Latin America. The statue itself is also included in the Premium Ascension collectors edition from Asia I think.

Ah that makes a lot more sense, that one is a million times better than the one we got.
