I really don't understand how some guys can say it is ugly and uninspired really. Even gameplay wise it is far superior than LoS. Sure at the begining it the same thing, but once you get the 2 weapons and the ability to transform into mist, you become god like.
I swear I felt like a god when I fought that boss after gaining the power to transform into mist. You have no idea how powerfull you feel when you start attacking a boss and he suddenly attack and you turn into mist at that precise moment to avoid the hit and continue you combo right after.

you feel like a fucking boss yourself .

The game is great but that's just my opinion though.

You know how those review goes, they compare LoS 2 to previous Castlevania titles rather than comparing it with LoS. If a game have QTE then they will drop the review score by 2, no multiplayer drop another 2. Have the world Call of Duty it will be instant 9 and above.

All the review keep comparing it to God of War. Lol it is not supposed to be a God of War clone :/

Read metacritic review for User Score, much more accurate score for games as it is reviewed by players rather than paid reviewers.

I don't know mate, I never really believed reviewers were paid to give good reviews to be honest.

but... i don't know man realy.

Some reviews really makes me doubt..

I never believe in reviews until I play them myself because I could miss out on a game that in MY MIND is great.

me neither, but I hate when a great game like this one get shitty reviews like that, because it will inexorably impact on the sells of the game thus darken the reputation of a studio like mercury steam who made a fantastic serie.

I keep playing it and everyhour I pass on that game is pure joy and amazement.

While God of War clone is going too far, the game--unless it's just radically different from the first--was quite obviously heavily influenced by GoW. The first one did a lot of things right in a lot of ways, but the combat was simply a bad God of War. While that shouldn't be the main backbone of the review, that's a hard angle to ignore.

I finished the game in one go today.

Conclusion? I love it. the game deserve a 8 but certainly not something under it in my opinion.

Though the end really felt rushed ( probably due to konami pushing them forward to release it ).

Carefull, spoiler about the last boss

The game is definitly worth it. screw thos reviews really. This game does not deserve any review below 8/10.
