But I have seen the edition for 94,99 Euro on buecher.de a german online shop if you use a voucher code (10 euro value) you will get that edition for that price.

The only problem is I guess they only ship to a german address.

It's 90 EUR on Amazon France. Amazon is especially good for those of us in the US because they take all the EU/UK (depending on which amazon it is) taxes off so we get the items for even cheaper than they are listed.

Hi All

I live in Australia and I pre-ordered my Castlevania 2 - Dracula's Tomb Edition through EB Games well before Christmas last year.

Then about a week ago, I went to look at the link I saved, knowing it was coming up for release (it was pushed back from Feb 28 to Mar 6), but the page did not exist anymore. So I rang them regarding it and they gave me the new release date you read above.

When I arrived at my local EB Games yesterday to pick it up, I was told the prices was.... wait for it, (I hope you're sitting down)... $270.00! Yep, you read that correctly. Now, I couldn't recall the price at the time I pre-ordered it, but I told the person behind the counter that it was around $169.00 and that I wouldn't be getting it for that price.

Anyway, they brought it out for me to look at (same as the pictures on here already) and my first comment was that it was cardboard and I was very disappointed with the presentation of the box. Earlier in this thread, someone mentioned it should of been made out of wood, which is what I said at the shop. Both the Steelbook and artbook are nice, but I wasn't too excited about the figures and packaging.

I left it at the shop and not long after I arrive home I received a phone call from them saying they did some 'research' and that the distributor had increased the price and because I pre-ordered it at the original price (it was in fact $179.00), that I could purchase it for that. I told them I would get back to them with an answer.

Obviously, after seeing the product and not being overly excited about it as a whole, and reading everyone's comments on here, I've decided they can keep it and I will just purchase an ordinary copy.

Yes, the prices are higher in Australia. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is.
