TL;DR: For my store at least I can guarantee this was the case, so if you see corroborating comments around the net, I would be inclined to believe them. You just have good karma Knight.

Welcome. It does suck paying scalpers, especially when you do so knowing that their profit margin will be a lot higher than Nintendo's for example. No worries about being able to affordably obtain this particular Bundle's contents though, so that's a positive.

No previous bundles for the Smash franchise and of course my only other main expertise is Zelda. The Four Swords Adventures bundle (came with a GBA-GCN cable) might not have been a single-production-run release? 2004 was a little before I really started collecting Zelda though, I picked that one up later on.

If NoA does indeed decide to produce more SSB Bundles it would be the first intelligent marketing/distribution move I'll have seen them make in a while.
