Thought I read somewhere this particular SMB series Mario amiibo was exclusive to this CE, true or false?

It didn't look to be so on the direct. The only place I've seen that listed so far was the Newegg listing for this LE. But I trust them with VG information about as far as I trust Tom's critical analysis and opinion on post-modern impressionist art

Nintendo at least has posted pictures of normal packaging for that Mario Amiibo on Twitter. And it didn't look like a Mario Party exclusive during the direct. Probably just the same situation as it was with the Smash Amiibo bundle.

The special edition was available at amazon.de a few hours ago btw, but has already sold out (thanks scalpers)

Thanks for the clarification guys. Even though I don't plan on getting any of the SMB series (at least, not to collect, maybe to play with?), it's still good to know they haven't bundled exclusive amiibos with a game...yet.

You know it's only a matter of time.

I really really want this US bundle ..but i'm getting scared that it's going to be NYC Exclusive, because GAMESTOP nor AMAZON have any info on it..i even checked instore with Gamestop..and there's nothing but the standard game.

Hopefully it won't get out of hand like it did with Skylanders since they had exclusive Skylanders bundled with Consoles ^^"

That would just be stupid.. Also I bet it is packed like Smash LE was, where it the mario is just down in the box in normal amiibo package
