Yeah, so a couple things.

We're making a few small changes to it, so we're going to reach out anyone that bought one really soon with details. Then we'll re-launch it at a cheaper price and with a set edition size. Seemed prudent to take it down in the mean time, but we were hoping to have all the final details out before too many people noticed.... Soon.

Also, it's nice that this thread is about Borderlands Statues and not just about a Zer0 statue. Just sayin'.

Why the changes from Order Period to Set Edition size?

I myself bought this one.. thinking its already over.. Just curious..

You'll have a chance to get a refund if you don't like the new deal, and we're working out something small extra for you just for the hassle.

Without getting into details, we inherited this project part-way through and weren't able to make some key decisions about the statue initially. We've since had it given over to us completely, so we're trying to make it more in line with something we thought more people would be into. For instance, the lowered cost.

As for the timed vs. edition size, that's slightly to do with us wanting to not take chances on the cost of it (and therefore be able to offer it at a lower price to you when it comes back up), but largely to do with a preference against timed editions. I'm a huge proponent of taking a stand for something, so declaring the edition size up front feels better to me, and seems like a stronger position to take with hard core collectors. I don't like to make big purchases without all the information up front.... Hopefully you won't mind terribly that it's a more traditional statue because the thing is super impressive and cool in person.

I will not cancel my order, and for sure this statue gonna look awesome. Zer0 himself is already cool :p

Just curious when you mentioned Treehouse would have 'small extra' for us who ordered earlier.. Must be something cool i assume?

Don't get too excited! I was thinking some store credit so the statue would have a bit of a further discount. Maybe I'll have to figure out something more creative....

Hey Ryan, thanks for replying.

So the re-launched statue will be a different version or the changes are for the original version?
If it's for the original version, then all existing orders will be changed to the cheaper price?

Yes, I'm expecting a strong line of Borderlands statues so might as well make a proper thread for all of them!

Specifics are still TBD at the moment, but the statue will physically be the same, except for the edition size. One of the things we're cutting is the fanciness of the box, which you didn't see, though it was hinted at in the description.

So, since the timing, description, and edition size are all a bit different than when we took people's money, we're going to send out emails to find out what everyone wants to do. You can either keep the money down on the final version, plus some incentive for being down from the start and putting up with this, or we can refund you. It's taken longer than we intended to iron out the details (holiday break, some other hurdles), so we should have already gotten in touch with everyone, but we wanted to make sure if we were going to hassle folks we would hassle them with super double final information....

That sound good. I personally think it's too early for this to thrive on a Time Edition since a lot of people don't even know this exists. I have this up on my blog but I have gotten quite a number of emails asking if the store is legit or if the news is real, even though I linked it to the official store.

You can either keep the money down on the final version, plus some incentive for being down from the start and putting up with this, or we can refund you.

Too bad, I didn't put down a deposit early for this.

Anyway, the lower price will be a welcome change along with whatever else you guys have planned for this. Absolutely loved this piece but the price was just too much considering I would invest in the whole line.
