Read elsewhere that someone spoke to a Nintendo Rep and they said the new CN items with 2+month delivery time is because they haven't made the items yet and are waiting on orders through CN to determine run-size. Not sure if that means they won't have a cut-off where they "sell out" or not, but at least sounds like there will be more than their usual "limited item" run size.

Also, not sure how much I'll have after all the post-play surveys come in, but if I've got enough extra I'll let you know. Would be happy to trade for a CN Europe item

So far this would seem to be the case. After 2+ days of server overload they still haven't sold out. Now it says:
