DO I contact Amazon about these?

It's like hes looking at the rip.



Look at the flap up top.

And the steelbooks have small dents too. Do I contact him to complain about it too?


They do look awesome

Sorry to see that your Zelda CEs are damaged. Where did you order them from? I've ordered mine from Amazon. I hope to God that it doesn't come damaged as I have literally only paid for the nice box! XD

With regards to the damaged steelbooks. It would all depend on how much they've cost you and whether the cost of them is enough to justify you making a fuss about the damage. Was the item adequately packaged? In future I would recommend contacting sellers in advance about specific packing requirements. Especially for items like steelbooks and CEs in flimsy boxes as these are the most likely items to suffer in the post! >.<

Amazon MAY have reserved extras for just such an occasion as they typically will do that, but I would under no circumstance send one back until you've got a replacement that is in BETTER condition in-hand if it bothers you that much.

My amazon one came with a VERY similar rip (but on the left not the right) and minor paint scratch on the right of the box. It seems par for the course with these. The other one (which I'm going to keep) hasn't arrived yet, so I'm hoping its in better condition than the first, though not very hopeful.

Regarding the steelbooks, I know you got those off ebay. How did the auction list the items? Were they listed as "mint" "brand new" "dent-free"? If so, you could probably complain, but otherwise probably don't have too much footing. You'd just have to be proactive in the future about contacting sellers and making sure of a) the condition is what you want/expect and b) the packaging/shipping is above adequate.

Mine arrived today in a similar condition to this one. Mine has a rip but on the left side only. Gonna get onto amazon customer support and hope to try and get some compensation or a partial refund. lol Will update here.

Other than that though, the item arrived in great shape. ^o^ No crush damage or nasty bumps which I was expecting and it came incredibly quickly. ^o^

I don't think we can blame retailers on this too much. There's a flaw on the design of the packaging. I can't think of a way to pack this without damaging the packaging.

Yeah, I guess you're right, but I've paid $76 just for the pretty box, since I don't have use for the game and I already have a statue for display. lol Debating whether I can be arsed to contact them. They're usually pretty good with issues, but like you said, it really couldn't be helped and it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. >.<
