I dont even know why i kickstarted this. The public CE looks much better than the kickstarter CE for cheaper price.

Just went checking the info on this. Oh god they really did it. They shafted the entire kickstarter backer for the physical collectors edition and then release a better one for the public and will not do anything for the backers because apparently it cost too much to give the backers more physical content and it is a logistic nightmare.

Price of the kickstarter collectors is $110/$125/$135
Kickstarter backers got this which is what I pledged too : Backer-Only COLLECTOR'S EDITION BOXED COPY which includes Game DVD for PC, MAC OSX, or Linux + Digital downloadable copy of Torment: Tides of Numenera + Classic Printed Manual + Cloth Map + Printed Concept Art Book + Audio CD Soundtrack from Mark Morgan + DRM-free digital soundtrack + Digital Concept Art + Digital Game Manual + Digital High Resolution Art + Digital Torment Novella Compilation + Digital Map. At this level, we include you in the credits (Oddity Level) along with the development team.

tl;dr: Kickstarter get a physical box with one soundtrack cd, one cloth map, game manual and concept art book. all digital junks

Not at the moment. They are refusing to make an official statement and respond to people's outrage for the past month. They made a mod to close down the thread that people were unloading their anger which makes people more mad.

Their twitter only said this : The retail CE doesn't have exactly the same items, Oddity Collector comes with significantly more + a unique box design.

Significantly more pfft. More digital trash that is not even worth anything.

Wow, what a bummer. Even the Day One Edition comes with a physical map. Hope they'll decided to provide their backers with the proper CE of the game. I'm really sick of those empty kickstarter promises.
