And above a certain value, cant remember exactly how much, but 150 or something like that, gets even worst

Since July, the government here in Australia has imposed GST (10%) to be applied to low value imported goods. This generally gets included at time of purchase from most retailers (eBay, etc) but not all stores do it (depends on annual income from Australia), thus sometimes we're able to get stuff through without additional payment. Play-asia didn't charge me any more.

Amazon got the shits (don't blame them) & refused to comply so instead completely restricted any deliveries to Australia unless purchased through amazon.com.au. A few other stores did the same & don't ship to Australia anymore either. Still not as bad as the greed you have to endure in the EU.

But lets get back on topic...

Amazon.com have opened up international shipping - I just ordered for delivery to the UK. About $26 for shipping and customs deposit

Does anyone know why the US version on playasia is $117 AUD but the Asian version is only $80 AUD?

Likely because Play-Asia have to import the US copies to their warehouse in Singapore I think it is, so it costs them more to get the game, so therefore they will charge more to sell the game and still achieve their mark-up on it.
