These are from 3rd party seller and fulfilled by Amazon, I have faith in editions that are sold and fulfilled by Amazon
I'm asking because last year I came across to some "unusual" editions, that were in fact cheap chinese fakes or discarts from the factory. And when I came across stuff like this, I become suspicious, espetially when I can't find any solid info about them.
EDIT: I'm not suspecting the editions, just these uncommon variants of the usual editions.

Looking at the close-up pictures of the Mirror's Edge one, the white paint seems pretty rough at a few places where it looks like it's been done after and has pooled up a little in gaps such as the base of the glass or on the buckle at her bag.

Something does seem a little odd about it.

As for the Battlefield one, as in interesting thought - The normal version lights up at the bag around his neck. I wonder what would happen with this one. Might even help to show if it's just a cheap spray over if it doesn't light up through the paint and if there are little specks of light shining through.

Right, so my curiosity around the Mirror's Edge statue got the better of me. Here are some more photos for those who are interested.

Without being any kind of paint expert, I am inclined to believe that these are not just repainted versions of the statues which are sold at retail. With there being such dark colours on the retail figure, which would have been behind the new white paint, I would have expected this to show through if only a thin layer of paint was applied. Equally, if a thick layer of paint had been applied, this would have been evident by the loss of detailing with the figure. None of these seem to be issues.

It definitely is a white paint job and not white plastic. The Tattoo on Faith's arm is on top of the white paint also, incase you wondered. When packing it away, I did notice a bit of paint had rubbed off the bottom on the one corner of the base and the plastic is like a semi clear plastic instead of black which is used on the standard retail figure.

I expect that these figures could have possibly been pre-production figures which were left over and then just painted white and banged inside a regular CE box. The outer box is no different to the regular CE and the shipping container is the same too. I hope this may help people and satisfy the curiosity of some.

So I have sent a few messages to the seller on Amazon as they appear to be a business. So this edition was apparently not initially available in the UK, as I had gathered anyway. They don't have information on where this edition with the white statue was originally sold and I was advised that it was made in very limited quantities. I hope this information is useful to somebody.
