Final Fantasy box art used to be really vibrant and bright and cheery and colorful and now some of the titles released and any accompanying steelbook have dark depressing tones and spooky colors!..this one is a easy pass for me...i wish they went back to the more expressive expansive color palette to make this steelbook stand out!

Were they? I thought FF box art were wildly varying from game to game. In Japan it's always been the title on a solid white background with the exception of 15. I will say that most of their steelbooks feel kinda cheap for some reason. Maybe it has something to with the finish. I think they always use the matt finish which is kind of uninspiring.

I agree that FF XV had some very uninspiring steelbooks, but the 2 or 3 they released before that were absolutely gorgeous
