there's always been slight variations with steelbook releases, it's a shame that the NTSC US version does NOT have the logo on the lower back corner...if you look at what is assumed to be the "same steelbook" worldwide, you will see different shades of colors, or lettering font, or slight design variations etc...so i am not surprised at all, there are differences with the GT7 steelbook even though on pre-order renderings it appears to be a universal design across the globe.
