Yes. because it's not a real manufacturer seal. It's sealed with standard packing tape. If it was shrinkwrapped or sealed with a special round sticker I would say that's quite different...

I didn't even slice it, I just gently pealed mine off, it didn't damage the Styrofoam at at all. Once I was done taking photos I packed it all back up and used fresh packing tape to re-secured it.
