I'll probably just live with it. There was a letter in my box that said they would only accept returns that were shrink wrapped. Of course, I opened mine cause I wanted to play the game, so I guess I'm screwed on the return front.

Honestly, these companies really need to get a grip on who their CE market is. Certainly as collectors themselves, they must realize that the box is just as valuable as what's inside. This wasn't the first CE I've received that was shipping in a box that was fitted to size. Skyrim also had a similar box - I just got lucky with that one, same deal with Old Republic.

Anyway I'll live with it cause I mostly enjoy the extras. It just stinks to look on the shelf and see a wrinkled up box.

Or you could just save Kingdoms of Amalur and be notified whenever anything Amalur comes up, haha

I would probably do this if I were still in Atlanta. I moved back home to the Dallas area a few years ago and hope Todd McFarlane shows up at a con here. I want his signature since the troll is his design and manufactured by his company. I'm also a fan of his his work on the Spider-Man and Spawn comics.

So...I think I got hosed.

I ordered a signature edition. Double checked my receipt - definitely paid for a signature edition. What did I receive? The collector's edition. The doll is limited to 1600, it has the Rolston print but it does not have the MacFarlane print.

Luckily I did not physically open the doll itself or the game package. But I'm really upset right now. I don't pay $300 to get f'd around with, especially by a company that I've been following and supporting the entire time they've been in existance.

The McFarlane print and the Rolston print are sealed together. The McFarlane print is behind the Rolston print.

You should open the statue to check for the signature and inspect the statue for damage.

Wow, thanks.

So it's safe to remove the tape on the styrofoam?

Kelekin, what MortalMonday said is correct. The McFarlane Sketch is hidden behind the Rolston lithograph so the only way to verify it is there is to open it. You have to do this. There is no way about it. The sketch print is too valuable and special to not check for it's presence.

It is also absolutely necessary that you open the troll box (not DOLL, it's a troll statue), unseal the styrofoam and check that you got a signed troll statue (and to inspect for damage or mistakes). Don't worry about it being sealed. The box is not sealed to start and the troll statue is only sealed with normal packing tape which can be easily resealed when your done inspecting.

You just can't buy an edition like the Signature and not inspect everything. It's not right and your only doing yourself wrong by not checking everything.

Yes. because it's not a real manufacturer seal. It's sealed with standard packing tape. If it was shrinkwrapped or sealed with a special round sticker I would say that's quite different...

So you should be good now right? What # is 85 - one of the prints or the statue? You got both prints, Rolston and McFarlane yes? Did you open the statue to see what signature and number?
