I see that DarkKitarist knows a company which ships to his region from the UK. Would anyone happen to know of one which would ship to Australia? If not, looks like I'm out of luck. You had no chance of this being shipped to you like many other big/heavy CE's from the UK.
If you really do want a copy with no fuss, then I suggest you get it from gamestop.com

As far as I know Borderlands1 was region free for Xbox360 and there's a very good chance B2 will also be region free!
Also, if you've never ordered from gamestop ever, I highly suggest that you don't bother using your CC unless you're able to fax them your CC statement asap because that's what they require of you to do for first orders. What would make things easier for you is to ask an American citizen to purchase you a gamestop online credit from the site to the equivalent amount or more to cover the game and shipping fees. You will need around US$190 to get the Loot Chest shipped to you [$150 for the game, around $40 for shipping]. It's a far easier practice with no hassles at all and you'll also get your order within 5 days in a greatly packaged parcel! Do you want to know more?

i just got an e-mail from game.uk and they say that my order will not be canceled but I still have to pay the 2,74 Pounds for the overseas order since they can't amend the price... So i thing i'm in the clear

How is everyone doing now w/ the preorders?

This has been the most insane preorder/announcement thread I have ever seen since I joined this site. Obviously a LOT of people love Borderlands. This makes me VERY happy.

I don't think so...

I think that this edition is either very limited or it's so special that resellers took extra care with the preorder numbers so it became sold out.

I wish you were right and this was all love for the game. But I really don't think so.

I think it's very very limited.
It's the fastest selling preorders I've seen here and we don't normally get many scalpers unless it's CoD

The last CE that sold out on preorders here was Crysis 2 Nano Edition, it sold out in just over a week and I've never saw one copy in any store.

We'd be lucky to just get a few hundred Loot Chest here for the two main formats and less on PC?!

I'm not going into conclusions too quickly, because you never know, i thought the same about the Star Wars The Old Republic Collector's Editions which was at first also for sale at specific shops and got sold out quickly as it looked like.

Mine is cancelled though from Game.co.uk, and it seems Gamestop won't accept my Creditcard for some weird reason. I really would love this edition though, mostly because of the replica!.

The Loot Chest will not be as "limited" as you think (worldwide total that is). Trust me. Some countries will obviously have far less...
