It all depends on the game. sometimes they are region locked, sometimes they're not.

As a general rule, multi-platform games are almost always region free. There are some exceptions though, like FFXIII-2 for example. That was region locked! >.<

Either way, you won't know until the game is released or close to release!

I would hazard a guess that Far Cry 3 will most likely be region free!

Yeah as Cosmic said mostly region free, however the standard copy from Japan and USA are region lock so good chance UK and Euro version is the same. Not sure about the insane edition though.
