"Here’s what customers who previously pre-ordered the SteelBook version of Assassin’s Creed III through Amazon.com need to know about the just-announced Limited Edition: The US version of the Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition does not include the SteelBook featured in the Freedom Edition announced for other countries. If you decide to pre-order the Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition and cancel an existing order for the SteelBook version of the game, you will not receive a SteelBook when the Limited Edition ships. When the Assassin’s Creed III SteelBook promotion launched, Ubisoft had not yet decided whether to produce a Limited Edition of the game in the US. Both the SteelBook and Limited Editions are highly limited in quantity, and while we understand that some customers may be disappointed to not receive a SteelBook in the Limited Edition, that decision was made by the publisher.
