Nah, the CE is way too expensive for the quallity of the content. I oredered the special edition for the artbook.

But one question, Zavvi exclusive, has G1 and G2?

Does the game come sleeved like the first Castlevania?

Or will be like Splinter Cell Zavvi "exclusive" steelbook, that came separately and only G1 sized for all platforms??

Anyone has received Zavvi exclusive?

I have read that the zavvi exclusive steelbook is like the gamestop germany exclusive steelbook of Castlevania Lord of Shadows 2 G1-size.

The steelbooks which you will get fom gamestop germany are sealed so on ebay.de there should be a lot of offers for them.

Artbook is great, steelbook is nice (nothing special, no title in spine for some reason!), figurines not as bas as someone would imagine. Overall, not happy to be honest.

Just been catching up on this thread and awaiting mine tomorrow but you have to consider that the ACIV black chest is very similar - aside of an outer card slip cover to protect the chest itself.

The chest is also made of thick card and was delivered unsealed with only a slipcover yet it certainly didn't dent the value of the black chest edition....

I'd actually take the finish of decent card over a crappy plastic though wood would be my preference every time....

Given how unhappy so many people seem to be with it, I am seriously considering waiting to order mine off amazon.fr. My only worry is that it may sell out. Then again, the CE for the first game was available for a while, and this game has received worse reviews and more people unhappy with a very spendy CE. I think all the signs point to eventual--and maybe not even too far off price drop; but it's hard to say for sure. Hell, even having it dtop to 80 vs 100 EUR would be a nice little bit of savings.

Even though I don't have the Black Chest edition (I've seen it though), I think it's similar to the Buccaneer or the Freedom edition - the LoS2 Tomb it's definitely nothing like those. I don't think I can describe it properly though...

We obviously agree on wood as a choice, but I'd also prefer detailed plastic or sth similar more, like.. i don't know, ACB Codex Edition or UC3 Explorer?

If I had to choose between the first Castlevania CE and this, I'd choose every time the first one.

I'm actually disappointed of the outer packaging only. It needs a nice looking paper box like God of War Trilogy or something. Where am I suppose to store a tomb at my house lol. My parents will go crazy if they visit and saw a mini tomb in my house thinking I'm in occult or something.
