does the steelbook come separately?..because amazon.de shows a "steelbook limited version" for PS4 and XBOX ONE as well...I wonder if the game are really enclosed inside a steelbook or packaged separately?

I believe the disc comes in the G2 Steelbook.

SwiftDeath, do you think when I join online games from the US it should pair me with other US players. The rep from EA claims it isn't region locked, which to me indicates it would be fine. I'm more concerned about the voice dialog, he said when you use a physical disc and not a digital download, it will revert to your system settings, as all US Made games are default English then dubbed for foreign languages. I'm not sure if he was 100% correct though, he answered all my questions on the dime in seconds.

i dont think it will come in the g2 steelbook.

on the product page it says:

"limited mit steelbook" which means limited "with" steelbook and not in the steelbook

Doesn't anybody have this steelbook yet? 0.o the game came out the other day. Wanted to get one, but couldn't justify the 80 Euro price tag when I could get NFS for XB1 for 30 quid.

Nobody has this steelbook yet, sadly it isn't released until November 29.

I did however speak to another EA Support Agent today on the phone and a Sony Entertainment Rep. What I am able to confirm for everyone that is curious about this title and any other foreign release edition is that all PS4 Games will be region free and will work in your native language at all times. I also asked if DLCs would be region free this time around with Playstation, and the same answer still applies as with the PS3, that is up to the developer of each game. So I then went straight back to EA and can confirm that all DLCs for EA Games for the PS4 system will be region free, so no more hassle with DLCs.

Now this only applies to EA, I don't know what other developers plan to do, but just thought I'd share what I found out.

It was released on november 21, 2013, but the price is very high and it seems like that there isn't a lot of intrest in the game especially for the ps3-version, that is the reason why you can't find unboxing videos on youtube about the steelbook edition at the moment.

is this need for speed steelbook a true exclusive to amazon.de? (Germany) or is it available in other parts of the world?

you never know, sometimes amazon bundles the game with the steelbook on the side... maybe it is easier to do that , rather than produce a special batch with the disc in a steelbook, something like Playstation All Stars.

Then again, the previous amazon DE PS3 NFS did come with the disc in a limited G2 steelbook.

i guess you only really know on release day.
