I'm definitely in for the Zelda one - my wife and I love Monopoly!

Not sure if the Pokemon is just a re-issue of the old Pokemon Monopoly from back in the 90's or if its updated with new Pokemon (now that there's over 650 or so)? Guess we'll find out.

No news about pre-order, but looks like release date will be 8/21/14

It says kanto edition on the Pokémon and Pokémon on the box is only from 1st generation..

Hmmm... not sure. I didn't actually register or anything - it was just a link that was provided on the Kotaku site. Not even sure if you're able to actually "pre-order" this. I'm sure there will be other vendors for this as we get closer to the release date.

Maybe someone else who has used that site before could speak to it.

Regarding the Pokemon, I guess that means its just going to be a re-release of the one from back in 1999 or so. That'll be good for anyone who has been trying to avoid the high after-market prices that one had been going for.

Yay! Pre-orders are up for the Zelda Monopoly at Gamestop! Looks like there's some "exclusive" content as well which seems kinda weird for a board game, but oh well. Definitely stopping by my local store tomorrow for this!

There will be fights over the Triforce player token.

Monopoly: The Legend of Zelda, an officially licensed Zelda-themed Monopoly game from board game publisher USAopoly, is available for pre-order through Game Stop for US$39.99 ahead of its Sept. 15 release.

The collector's edition includes a custom designed game board featuring iconic locations from The Legend of Zelda franchise, Zelda-themed rupees along with six player tokens: Bow, Hookshot, Boomerang, Triforce, Hylian Shield and a Game Stop-exclusive Ocarina of Time. Deku Sprouts and Deku Trees replace the familiar houses and hotels, while Chance and Community Chest cards are renamed Empty Bottle and Treasure Chest. Those who pre-order through Game Stop get a Hyrule Map Lithograph in “a Treasure Chest Holder” and six Item Power Cards “for added game play,” including the Goddess, Wind Walker, Minish Cap, Spirit Flute, Phantom Hourglass and Ocarina of Time.

Also, here's a picture of the game board that I found on Kotaku - I'm horribly disappointed in the pathetic vector art of Link in the middle of the board, it looks like they just cut & paste some cheesy promo art or something and stuck it in the board. I'm not as terribly upset about the fact that the the 4 corners aren't "Zeldi-fied" because I think all collector boards have those, though its an obvious missed opportunity for more Zelda fan-service. But they could've also changed the money to match the colors of the Zelda rupees and made a master sword piece! They obviously did not consult many Zelda fans regarding it... It is kinda neat that they made the each color of properties from a different game though (or so it looks like).
