Also, EOS looks to be very promising. I know many people are already calling for its death since it's a paid sub MMO, but I have played the Beta (on my crappy computer :lol:) and I must say, it is superb. It's almost what I have been imagining since Oblivion came out and I use to play a few other MMO's. What if the Elder Scrolls was multiplayer..what if it was an MMO.

Fantastic! Thanks so much! It's really quite impressive and all that lore makes me want to go and play some Skyrim or Oblivion! I'm assuming since its the same world that it might already be on the plate, but can we expect lots of nods to the stories from the previous games? Like fan Easter-eggs? :)

The full colour plate in Gathering Force is beautifully set and the Agents and Reagents is so engagingly crafted. Takes me back to the reference books of childhood - butterflies, woodland birds, funghi... If ever I asked my mum what done thing was the answer was always the same... See if you can find it and I would leaf through the colour plates or diagrams for the answers

The sample pages make me want to read these pages... A lot of work has gone into the design of these and they are faithful to the history <3

Yeah, it's got an insert that holds four discs, so you're set if you get it on 360, and you'll have some nonsense extra slots if you get one of the new platforms. Proper steelbook.

There were some extenuating circumstances in this specific case, but I stand by the idea for future releases. Where possible we'll probably still offer a version with the game as well, but until we get better at shipping games to people with no issues, it's something I'd rather leave up to the pros (I posted my rationale in a little more length in the other thread (http://collectorsedition.org/forums/showthread.php?p=211462#post211462)).

It's not a CE though. It's just memorabilia it does not matter what they call it. I hope this does not get added to the database, I still do not understand why the dead space dev team edition is in there.

It looks nice though if you collect that kind of stuff.

I completely see your side. There are many types of collectors out there. And I get that without the game, this loses that VGCE status.

Regardless to me is still a great edition (as was the DS3 Dev Team Ed.) I am not a dedicated collector, plus the 5k production limit does make it a lot more appealing. I actually don't care too much for the game (although I loved Return to Castle Wolfen.) but I do love the content of this CE!

They mostly are. It was meant to all be in-fiction (the original idea was something that felt like mementos that might conceivably have been kept from someone that went through the game's war, but some of the items didn't come out right and the statue was just too cool to pass on). There are maps and plans relating to actual in-game sequences. The blueprints are stamped as originating from London Nautica, so they're in English, but everything else is German. I _think_ the letter was written by someone at Machine Games.... They laid out most of the documents for us so they would be more accurate.

whats there to say that the "5000 run" steelbook really means 5000 for the USA?..then mysteriously some seller in middle of Europe as dozens of the just the steelbook for sale?..i say this, because we were told a couple of years ago the Zavvi edition METAL GEAR SOLID HD collection collectors edition, also had a small run of just 5000 steelbooks, then some guy in france had empty steelbooks for sale, and then others reported in Europe some independent game shops had just the steelbook as a pre order bonus...so is there any way to individually number these steelbooks inside this edition?..

They made it just for us, and we made just enough to fill the Panzerhund kits (5k total). The only way it ever shows up anywhere else is if someone bootlegs it....

Totally understand your hesitation. I think the content here is going to be agnostic to the Elder Scrolls vs. Elder Scrolls Online differences. They're set in the same world, and this is just lore and stories also set there, so if you're a big fan of the single-player games but don't care for the MMO one, there's still a lot to like about the books.... Did you read the sample chapters?

Or are they completely unique/separate without any duplication? If there IS duplication, approximately how much?

I haven't seen the final art book in that edition, but the content in our books should be unique and exclusive. Hodgson was directed and got approval from the ESO team for what he wrote, but I know Bethesda wrote their own content for their book.

I have not read every word of both books, but I would expect they are 100% different.

Of the two I've put my hands on, one was nicely poseable and one had a slightly looser joint than I would have liked on one of the legs. If yours won't stand up on its own, you've definitely hit the loose joint lottery.... I definitely wouldn't call it intentionally "floppy" so if that's really what's going on, open a support ticket and see what we can do.

That's was a pretty aggressive sale. I can't say that we won't go that hard when we get down to the very last ones, so the best I can offer is that I haven't heard anyone talking about doing it again.

I honestly don't know.... The time codes are linked to your ESO account and not _necessarily_ a specific platform, but I have no idea how the accounts are going to work with consoles and it very well may be different (it's also the kind of thing that might be too up in the air to commit to, so they could end up saying PC only just to be safe). I've sent an email to someone over there and will report back whatever I hear.

Edit: I'm told they're PC only codes. Bummer.

Not a ton of bells and whistles on ours (we didn't want to make it much more expensive than the regular version), but we've got the cloth cover, metallic ink, gilded pages, and book marker. Edition size of 500.

I can't help with any of the second guessing, but I can tell you these books are final, and they're cool even if you like Elder Scrolls and end up disliking Elder Scrolls Online (under whatever name)....

I'll get one eventually, I have already emailed Treehouse as they need to limit these to one per customer due to the amount of people that buy multiple copies for resale purposes. They are already selling for $200 on eBay as individuals have simply bought 3 /6 copies to resell.

I'll get one eventually, I have already emailed Treehouse as they need to limit these to one per customer due to the amount of people that buy multiple copies for resale purposes. They are already selling for $200 on eBay as individuals have simply bought 3 /6 copies to resell.


Report them. They cannot be sold on eBay per the ToS.

Well it violates the ToS right now due to them not being able to ship within 30 days of sale... but when they are within 30 days of being able to ship after the sale there will be nothing to report (as far as I know... eBay's rules are sometimes made up by their enforcement team so you never know).

Yeah it is Fallout. Plus anyone who had re-selling in mind knows it is a sure investment for very nice profits. So anyone who does not mind taking more then 3, would probably buy as many as they could comfortably afford. I know when we miss out these things we get upset, but really it is the economy we are based in (it is capitalism plain and simple).

I personally do not fault anyone for buying 3. Though buying 6/9/+ I would not really agree with (unless they were getting them for others of coarse).

As far as me getting one... I did not and have not gotten one. Not really sure what Mortal has planned as I have not discussed it with him but I am not just going to assume anything. Also you imply that because I may get one (which again...) it has changed my opinion somehow... but this is not the case (plus even if I do get one I would have much rather gotten my own, in any event it would be cheaper, safer, and if there were issues I could deal with them with Treehouse directly). What I am saying is even if I could get one from Mortal I might pass on his generous offer for those reasons (and the reason that it most certainly would be taking money out of his pocket, if I want it badly enough I would want to try and help get something he wanted at the very least). I missed out, sucks but really not the end of the world. :yes:

Anyways... I wish you luck in getting one. I am sure there will be more lithographs made soon (different ones). :thumb:

I am going to wait for Amazon to come up, a bit risky but hopefully it is not all that limited and I can be vigilant enough now that I am up for awhile. I guess I could pre-order one from Best Buy and just cancel later just to know I am getting one. I just dislike how they initially charge you for a pre-order.



As for the Edition I think the Mini Nuke replica is AWESOME! I used to covet these in Fallout 3 and NV... used to horde them and buy them (I basically collected them in game and only used them to play with or on the Mega Super Mutants). I like the Mini Nuke idea better then the wearable Pip-Boy personally.

Surprised by the # of people who didn't want it from BestBuy? Between the reward certs, the 20% off with GCU, elite membership perks etc. its usually a no-brainer to me especially with CEs, but I guess if you have Amazon CC or something maybe the lack of recurring charges/up-front charges sways it for you.

I am not a member of whatever program you are talking about. I saw where it said something about rewards and I filled it out only for it to tell me I do not have said number and to call the CS.

If I had to guess you have a local BB near by to you? I have no place to buy games close except Wal-Mart.

I used to do GameStop but I stopped having to drive by where the store is (each big outlet for any store is 45 mins + from where i live)... so now I do all my stuff online. And in my experience for issues and flexibility Amazon is unbeatable... they have created more then a loyal customer with me.

The term open edition refers to the run of an item not being numbered. The modify watches are un-numbered and generally non-collectible. They're usually meant for everyday use.

I've been waiting two weeks for them to get back to me on a simple question about stock.
Ever since ThinkGeek took over their customer support has slumped.

I used to hold them up with Amazon in terms of how well they have treated me and how fast they fix things.

Ryan said it is because the large volume of requests they got since the announcement of Fallout 4 Merchandise. Ryan explained to me that they have increased their staffs in the CS department, but it seems the problem is bigger than that.

It took me about 3 weeks, JUST to get a proper response from their CS to acknowledge that the prints I got are damaged. And that also because I kept bugging Ryan, to get the proper responses. Now, it has been more than 2 WEEKS, and I have yet to receive my Replacement prints. Told me it would be done 'soon', but up to now still have not received any tracking code.

Ryan has been one of the best guys here, to help us out, but there is also that much he could do.

I used to love Treehouse, as they sell things which we all love, and at a really affordable price, with really quick responses if I encountered any problem. And please dont get me started how they take care of my prints (they have only ONE job..)

The take over by ThinkGeek has been a mess so far. Extremely disappointed tbh.

I had no dire need but when the preorders for fo4:CE were happening, I requested a cancel of one, and it took about 2 weeks. The thing that made me less than happy was when I ordered the 3 7" bobbles. Each box came damaged even though they were in an intact cardboard box when they got to me. Which means they were probably damaged before being packed to be sent to me. Not very good quality control.

Either case, it might have something to do with aligning their business modules and GameStop trying to get rid of either overlap or streamlining. I'm just spitballing as I'm sure the fall game schedule isn't helping either.

I can;t help but feel even with that there is no excuse for a request to go unanswered within 48 hours (mine has bee 96 hours and no repose).

48 hours is the industry standard and most companies do it within 24 hours.

Here is the thing, they do not need to solve it when they respond, but a response to say "hey, we see your ticket and are no looking into what we can do, we will get back to you with in another 48 hours" would even be acceptable.

No, I feel your rant reaction is justified as part of the online buying experience does include proper shipment of product. It's not like going into a store and verifying your product before you walk out so we are left at the mercy of the retailer. Every business module, small or big, needs to cater to the after-sale support if they want to ensure repeat business. Otherwise, I'll wait until one of you guys decide to sell me your collection with knowing the fact that you will care for it when you ship.

Yeah 48 hrs is standard... but the good ones are under 24.

Just got a response finally from Bethesda store support. Took them 22 days to respond. I can say this with no doubt... Treehouse, Thinkgeek, whoever it is should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

And almost a month later, I still have not received my replacement prints. Got a reply from a CS last Friday, telling me it will be SOON to be shipped out. The CS couldnt give me a specific date even.
