When it finally went through, I got confirmation by email but an error msg on the site lol.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia have revealed limited edition Playstation 4 consoles to commemorate the upcoming PlayStation exclusive Yakuza 0.

The consoles come in either black or white, and pending the design, are either the Kazuma Kiryu Edition and the Goro Majima Edition. The designs are laser etched onto the casing, showing off the tattoos from either Yakuza 0 protagonist:

Each console will set you back 41,980 yen plus tax, and there’s a bundle that comes with the game for an additional 6,480 yen.

Well a PS4 is more like a top and a bottom so I would assume nothing on the bottom where the feet are. The ones in the bottom pic are just a faceplate.

I would have (possibly) jumped at the prototype, if a pict was supplied.. but I feel it will end up being a "generic" case with PS4 guts in it. €999 is just too rich for my blood, to take a blind leap of faith.

I contacted him (them) via their FB page, as that was what was requested.

No dice on the image of it. What has my interest peaked is that it is labled as "prototype" not dev kit (they have debugging/test kits listed, which I am assuming are the ones that look just like a standard PS4 w/ the test port)

I'm mostly curious if it is a "prototype" like... say a car show, or as you are noting (and I believe it will be, like in the IGN shot of the controller) generic case dev kit.

Yeah I won't be giving into the scalpers. When The Order Faceplate sold out, it just disappeared from the Sony Store. This one hasn't yet, so I remain optimistic of a restock. :v:

They put a temporary charge through to verify the card but they remove it in within a day or two. They used to periodically bill it again every few months for a day or two, but it was reported that they stopped subsequent checks as of last year.

If you use paypal balance obviously it'll be taken away immediately.

Limited Edition PS4 for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Announced for Japan in Black and White

During the Letter from the Producer Live broadcasted from the Nico Nico Chokaigi event in Japan, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida showcased something quite spiffy.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia will release two custom limited edition PS4 models themed after the Heavensward expansion will go on sale on the Japanese market.

Pre-orders will be available on Sony’s own store on April 28th at 11 AM Japan time. The deal, named PS4 Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward Edition, will include a 500 GB PS4 (in black or white) with a laser-etched hard disk drive bay.

It will also come with a custom PS4 theme and a choice among the PS4 edition of the base game, the expansion or the expansion’s collector’s edition.

Of course there’s no word about any release in the west, and like most of these special edition consoles, we’re probably not going to get them.

More like cutting up the story campaign and sell it separately as DLCs. And its definitely not a Destiny 2 no matter how they gonna word it. This is not the story length like StarCraft 2 Expansions.. nor Diablo 3..

Diablo 3 Reaper of souls story mode was short... It added one chapter containing around 5-6 missions that can be completed in around 2 hours of play. As with Destiny, it's not about the story. It's about the grind of paragon levels, greater rifts, seasonal loot. If you're comparing to Diablo III Reaper of Souls, then The Taken King has more content than that did.

While I agree that piecing out missions to an already pricey DLC isn't a great strategy, but for something that is actually free(because like I said, who doesn't buy energy drinks now and then) and then it contains XP boost along with the mission, I don't see the need for huge backlash.

When Halo 4 came out with the Doritos and Mountain Dew codes for bonus XP in multiplayer, no one complained. They were going to buy it anyway, and the XP bonus was an awesome perk. No one said it was pay to win, no one said it was unfair, no one said anything bad.

If this was for House of Wolves, would media complain as much? Or is this just blowing out of proportion because of the bad response over The Taken King?

Story mode on Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls was longer than The Dark Below's story. but in terms of content? no where close. Crota's End is still being raided, The new strike is much easier than the House of Wolves Dragon, and gives the same rewards, you still are doing the missions from Dark Below of you need to do certain bounties and things that are low drop rates.

Destiny isn't NARRATIVE driven. The play-ability comes with friends doing the nightfall, raids and strikes. Doing just the story over and over would be boring anyway. ;)

Na Games from mainland china can be played on any ps4 or vita games from any contry as long as there disc can play on any Mainland china ps4. The hole reason the ps4 got delayed in China was sony was working out with the Chinese government so the thing could be region free for disc after words microsoft just updated the Xbone. With the net China does not want Chinese going on foreign net or something. A lot of pictures of launch day i China just showed a bunch of Chinese with imported games because The ps4 released with 5 games only on launch day and the vita was only 4 and sense launch only about 2 or 3 games have came out on both systems there not much to anything. 3 or 4 games That are download exclusive come from Chinese indi developers. I should know I own rayman legends from China and enough foriegners have rayman legends on ps4 from China already. The Mainland China ps4 is only region locked from psn and other internet activities I am not sure how resticted it is when importing and game when playing online. As of right now I beleave no game on ps4 or Vita has any sort of online feature to know if you can play online feature in Mainland China ps4 games. Also Mainland China ps4 and vita games are released in Simplified Chinese (as required by the government even the titles) while Chinese games from HK and TW are released in Traditional Chinese. If the systems was not region free I feel the system would have suffered alot of sales because Chinese would get bored with near next to nothing to play.

PSN is region free you can get am american psn and get on hk, Japanese, Eu and so on psn store. Dlc is not exactly region locked how the dlc works is its based on the game id the dlc is built for one game Id so there are chances in europe were you can say buy the french disc and be able to use the dlc from Spain psn because the same exact game id. There even the rare case were an AU copy can work with EU dlc its all based on game ids from my understand not much to do with region locking. Then there are time were 2 differen disc ids are released in eu and you could by dlc and the might not work. It is a strange case by case thing when it comes to games. Sense psn is not region locked dlc/download games can be played on any single psn account as long as the psn account is active on the system after download you can change to another region account and play the game.

The PS4 in Europe are being restocked with the Improved PS4 (ImPS4). The ImPS4 is said to not be as sharp as the Release PS4. I read a discussion and felt the minimal improvement was not worth the change. I'll try and find the source and post.

besides the few xbox360 consoles which have unique sound effects like star wars and call of duty, both of which i own, most others just have a different paint job.

this is in fact one of the few limited ps4 consoles to spot art over the whole top surface rather than just the hard disc cover, plus it is textured with the star wars motif. and the controller is the first to have an asymmetrical colour scheme for the buttons.

it looks cool from far, but closer in, it does look very messy and ugly though.

its a good attempt in my view, but wasted effort. but we should look at the final product before deciding. sometimes texturing looks gross as a graphic image, but might look elegant when it comes to the real thing.
