Anyone else get a shipment notice from Blizzard on the Reaper Statue? Funny thing is I ordered mine late and was a "WAVE 2" order (was supposed to be a Q3 shipment, and was thinking of cancelling it due to that but they shipped it within WAVE 1 for whatever reason). Weird... but not complaining as this is just what i need right now :D

Yeah... not sure if that's going to be the entire line-up for 2017 or not? I kinda hope so. That'd put KoRL, True Form Midna, the Majora's Mask, Link on Epona (BoTW), and the Sheika Slate all theoretically for this year... that's alot of ~$500 statues for one year :swoon:

Wanted to share a new Dragon Ball Statue I found! It is a really good sculpt of Goku Black in his Super Saiyan Rose form (made by FC Studio?). It is 14"/38cm statue of this quality sculpt and paint. Also it is limited to 200 made.

Probably around $450-$550 I'd imagine for an EX version if they make one. Bowser is likely going to be around the high end of that price (possibly a bit higher) and that is supposed to be one of their largest statues ever. I have a feeling we've seen the end of their $250-$350 range figures for the most part, but if it was a new license, anything is possible.

Didn't see it here, but the "Day One Edition" of the Exclusive Nightmare Statue from F4F's new Soul Calibur line is still available for a bit longer.

While I'm not a Nightmare fan, I do hope this sells well as they mentioned Mitsurugi, Ivy, and a few others possible down the line. Mitsurugi and Taki were always my mains in that, so would be nice to see how they do.

New review for the latest Gabranth figure by Play Arts Kai (The one released in late 2016).
In brief: it is not completely awfull, but I was expecting better.
Taking a look at the box, paint, sculpt, articulations, size, accuracy and finally a comparison with the prototype.

Is it really worth the $150 the Square Enix store is asking for this?
My answer: No.

Seriously, if you still want this, try to get it for cheaper elsewhere (Amiami or Anime-Island for example). Because $150 plus shipping and taxes is truly overpriced...

Thanks for the share! It's an amazing piece but several notches below what it could have been. I held off on the 1/3 ladies to see how the male ninjas turned out. As of now, I'm not impressed. And with the Goro PO coming up, I need to decide fast..

I love Raziel as a chracter design.

The "Soul Reaver" phantom sword in his hand looks off... wasn't it like a greenish blue color in game?



EDIT: just saw the art this is based off of... it is a yellow in that pic but in game I remember it being blue (maybe changed color? cannot remember as it i has been so long now :D ). Still I personally think the aura effect of the blade could have been done better as the resin looks nothing like the actual effect in the image.

Yeah I am a bit worried about that...once the led lights will have stopped working, there won't really be any way to repair it...but led lights usually works for long, and I probably won't turn it on all day long.

Sideshow is in industry leader and their own line of statues are some of the best you'll ever see. Prime 1 Studios is not Sideshow; Sideshow is just a retailer of their products. Pretty much all Prime 1 statues are expensive but you get what you pay for, very large, superbly detailed, well made statues that look as close as you're going to get to the real thing.

Fot the ones in-stock you could watch some video review. The price/quality ratio will probably be different for each piece so it is hard to say. For example, with Gaming Heads, the Nightigale was correct, the keeper statue had an awfull paint job but the breton and Kratos on throne were amazing. That said I heard that sideshow make some really great stuff, but it is not always up to the prototype quality.
With Prime 1 (the harley quinn statue) I think you get pretty much what you pay for, prototype = final product.
Before buying, just make sure that it is a character that your really like. Don't buy something just because it is cool. Buy it because you love the character, his story, his personnality.
If you buy something just because it is cool, well, it will be cool the first days after you receive it, but then you will loose interest in it.
And display is also very important. Great light can make your statue look even better. So if you buy one of these, make sure you highlight it well in your collection. I know I am not the best example with my messy display (:secret:too much stuff and no more space) but these are my little advices ;)

Yes I received both already, they shipped on April 1st and I received them on April 10.

I think it's a good buy.. If you had to have 1 Uncharted Statue, it has to be between this or the Sideshow one. That is long sold out so might be difficult to get one.

I love this new one.. Very dynamic & iconic finishing pose. Details are very good. Rather huge too.

I personally prefer Statues over Press Kits. For the amount you are paying, a Statue makes for a much better display. I don't see this de-valueing.

I'm not sure about other regions but the the giant Kratos statue is half - off at the Playstation Gear Store right now in the US... $299 (it's a far cry better than the $599 I paid for it).

Not to mention Sideshow has a pretty decent rewards program and excellent customer service...There was a time when Big Bad Toy Store carried practically everything and they free shipping on most everything. The one great thing with this statue is that it is very accurate. It looks just as the shrine looked in the game.

If the figure includes their respective horse (one would hope they would), then the statues will not be truly 1/4 scale. They would be pretty big but not near as big as your thinking. If I had to guess it would be around 36-42" MAX. There is no way it would be larger than that and still be less than $500...How EPIC would it be to have the four hoursmen with bases that lock together in that size? What a glorious diplayvthat would make!

36-42 would be way too big imo! It would be epic but much more expensive than 500 (Artorias was half the size - 21 inches tall - and was 500) and I just don't have any space for that...I already got project triofrce's 1/3 death statue and it is very massive - and only 28-29 inches tall. If they make something around 24 inches tall (no matter the scale, as long as it is 24 inches tall) I'll be very happy.

I think they based themselves on the trailer of the game to make it. Colors and face are more likely to Kenway as seen in the trailer than in the game...

That is a pretty high "limited edition" amount but it could be reduced. Regardless I ordered it. I hate spending that kind of money on statues but if I have to I prefer it to be a Prime 1. Really happy with the first two statues they decided on for Bloodborne.

Seconded. I really like the few figmas that I have. Lots of different poses you can go for and they're generally pretty easy to achieve. If they do a whole Overwatch line, I imagine that you could create a pretty cool custom diorama-style display.

Agreed. This does not even come close to scaling with the price of the others. Even if you scale up for the size as far as materials and the extra work that goes into them it is not $300 more of a statue then Tracer, Reaper, or Widowmaker.

Based on the size/work difference in comparison to the other this should be maybe $250 (so over priced by about $200).

And yeah not being able to pre-order and pay later is something that should just die out already (at least offer a down payment method or something... heck the down payment method sometime nets you free cash for the people who cannot pay come time to launch so why not do that? who knows).

The problem is Irrational held onto the rights for production for so long they lost the market. Many fans have been begging for a high quality Big Daddy for a LONG time...I begged Sideshow for years. I have the one from Irrational and LOVE it but wish I could have got it on sale. I am canceling my Rosie EXCLUSIVE from Gaming Heads though due to our current predicament.

I think Hunter is just a bit confused on that statue being in the same line as all the others that came out around the same time (all others were from Infinite so it is a easy thing to assume).

Also, the material in the Big Daddy suit was green in the first game where this one is more of a washed blue denim. I love the statue but I concur with Hunter. That said...nothing on the box or in the paperwork specified which game these were modeled from though it's hard to dispute considering the image is molded directly from the scene after he killed Suchong.

Seems sturdy to me but as far as I can tell, it doesn't detach from the base. Its all 1 piece, which is a pain for displaying it.

MGS1 Snake is a natural starting point since they are beginning with MGS1. I do agree, however, that this statue just doesn't have an MGS "feel". Part of this is probably because MGS1 is a near 20-year-old game, but I think there are some clear deficiencies in this piece:
- The greys on the sneaking suit are too light and the suit overall is missing some dark blue. F4F keep justifying this by saying they are using the legacy collection art of Snake. I'm not sure why they've decided to use these artworks exclusively as a reference point, but even then, the colours seem way off to me.

-Face seems off. Maybe a little too old and weathered. Also shape perhaps too long.

Yet it still looks pretty good and I'll be preordering. The rotating ammo box is brilliant.

I agree. Even if they fix the issues relating to the colour, base, face etc., there's something about the pose that just doesn't do it for me. It's awkward. What's good about it though is that it would go nicely with future pieces in the line in creating a battle scene (have a boss bearing down on snake on the other side of the wall).

After all the expensive statues, I think this one will be right for me. Just too many stuff out there..The price isn't terrible and the messengers are a nice touch. How do Figma figures hold their value over time? I only have two others from Silent Hill my wife purchased for me some years ago. She paid too much and last I looked they dropped below retail.
