I have the last payment for my Nathan Drake statue for the 25th of October and a ship date of October. I didn't receive a shipping soon or delay notice either but if the website is accurate, it should ship at the end of the month.

Hi All,

I can shed some light on the Drake statue delay. The statues arrived Stateside last week and were shipped to the distributors. However, I noticed a potential problem that I wanted addressed before the statues were shipped. The factory suggested that they add an additional attachment point between Drake's knee and the soldier's arm to ensure that there would never be any structural issues over time because of the amount of weight being held up. This wasn't in the original prototype and was added during production.

Unfortunately, in doing so, they pushed the main attachment point of the post that comes out of Drake's hand and goes into the soldier's shoulder over just enough that if you don't slide it in carefully, you could snap off Drake's pinky. Rather than risk sending these all out and having to send out hundreds of replacement units because of broken pinkies, we're opening each unit, doing a QA check, making sure the figures fit together correctly and adding a foam insert in the post coming out of Drake's hand to aid cosumers in putting the statue together.

We're also having the factory make some extra Drake figures for the distributors to have on standby in case they need to replace one for a customer. We're locating a facility in the L.A. area and it should take us only a few days to go through the shipment. The replacement units should be arriving around the 16th, so we should be able to get the statues out pretty quickly after that. I appreciate everyone's patience, but I'd rather make sure that you're getting a quality product that doesn't break while you're attempting to assemble it.

Has anyone else received a "Flexpay Schedule change" notice for the Drake statue? The final payment has been pushed back again, to November.

Not sure why they pushed it back that far (this is my first collectible I'm workinfg with SS on). We have secured a temporary warehouse location and have moved all the units there. We will start going through each and every unit on Monday and we hope to be done by the end of the week. The location is only a few miles from Sideshow, so they will have their units quickly (units ordered from the PS Gear Store will take a little longer as their warehouse is in Kentucky). The goal is to address the issue and get these in transit before the end of the month. I appreciate everyone's patience.

Blizzard knows the demand and they are not hurting for cash so why force pre-orders on us instead of just selling them at this point? Seems odd and frustrating.

I got my Widow a couple weeks ago. Gorgeous statue. Blizzard does seem to be ramping up the speed of these, so I'm expecting one per quarter now. I wonder if they have plans to do the entire lineup.

Right. Widow started shipping Q3 2017, D.Va is Q4 2017, Genji is Q1 2018.

I wouldn't mind doing the entire lineup. I still have a few that I would like to see soon like Mercy, Zarya, and Torbjorn.

Yeah it looks really good overall but I find they are a bit overpriced but usually of a really good quality (the Overwatch ones, other then D.Va are good prices but these tend to price at a premium). I really love WoW's lore and characters... just never could get into WoW (though I did/do love Warcraft III, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm :D ).

BTW, I can already see the unboxing videos where her eyebrows and hair are broken :D

Those eyebrows are absolutely going to break frequently unless they have a small metal rod in them.

Oh they will most likely have thin metal wire in them... but that only helps so much (really all the wire does is make it to not fall apart if broken).

I was curious to know regarding the statue if there is supposed to be more than one connection point for the Shoreline soldier to the base at his right boot? The reason I ask is the left boot heel shows a hole that was filled in as well as the designated spot on the base showing the same. With this one connection, my statue tends to "wobble" and has me concerned of its longevity of being able to handle all that weight at a single point.

I hope I'm just being overly paranoid and wanted to see if you could calm my nerves to make sure there isn't something wrong with my statue in particular.

I was curious to know regarding the statue if there is supposed to be more than one connection point for the Shoreline soldier to the base at his right boot? The reason I ask is the left boot heel shows a hole that was filled in as well as the designated spot on the base showing the same. Overall I’m happy with what I got for the money. The statue has very good quality but the plastic feel makes me feel weird...

There might be a little play because of the casting shrinkage but once it's displayed in a shelf or desk, it should be fine. This was a really complex piece to engineer because of the two characters and the pose, but we have about 12 of them around the office and no one's has fallen out of the peg hole.

I chose to go with plastic for the bandolier and holster as they were too thin to
Mass produce in polystone, and I wanted them to be separate pieces so that they wouldn't hug the body like if they were sculpted on. I feel this gives the statue the look of motion and makes it a bit more dynamic.

Hi Gary,

I just received the Uncharted statue, although it is one gigantic piece of collection, I'm having a little trouble...


1. The shotgun does not fit in the soldier's forearm.
2. Drake's holdster's broken, the fixing broke and it is now seperate into two different pieces
3. The soldier's goggles are seperate from the helmet (same problem, the glue fixing broke.)

Can you please tell me asap how I get replacement items.

Ordered a statue quite a while ago from https://www.gamesanimationcollectibles.com/ which was a Charizard vs. Blastoise statue. Looked very impressive and the price looked reasonable.
Upon arriving and checking it out however..
Packing was pretty good, but that's where it sort of ends sadly enough :(

I couldn't for the life of me put 2 specific parts together and figured out it was also damaged. There's parts that were incredibly loose as well and wouldn't even stay in the socket on their own.
I contacted the store and it took about 1 to 2 months to fully get responses about everything - to be fair, I feel like they were just postponing the truth to act like they were busy, rather than just telling me the truth straight away.

Basically, they can't replace the broken piece, the loose things are 'normal' as others also have that 'issue'. I got a code for a certain amount off of a next purchase, though to be very honest I'm not sure if I'm going to actually purchase anything anymore on that site..

Anybody else who's ordered stuff there? If so, what did you get, how did it end up being?

Sorry, I've been playing catchup after PSX and the holidays. Yes, the new Kratos and Atreus statue is one that I'm working on. The models and pose was designed by Rafael Grassetti, the new GoW game's creative director. He's an amazing artist and you can see his work online at places like DeviantArt. This statue has a ton of detail. The reason for the cost is that you have two highly detailed characters and a very large base with a severed troll head, tree branches, etc. I did my best to bring the costs in lower, but there was just. I way. It's an amazing piece, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the end result. It's also slightly over 15" tall, so it's a really good sized piece.

Sorry, I've been playing catchup after PSX and the holidays. Yes, the new Kratos and Atreus statue is one that I'm working on. The models and pose was designed by Rafael Grassetti, the new GoW game's creative director. He's an amazing artist and you can see his work online at places like DeviantArt. This statue has a ton of detail. The reason for the cost is that you have two highly detailed characters and a very large base with a severed troll head, tree branches, etc. I did my best to bring the costs in lower, but there was just. I way. It's an amazing piece, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the end result. It's also slightly over 15" tall, so it's a really good sized piece.

Hi Gary,

I just received the Uncharted statue, although it is one gigantic piece of collection, I'm having a little trouble...


1. The shotgun does not fit in the soldier's forearm.
2. Drake's holdster's broken, the fixing broke and it is now seperate into two different pieces
3. The soldier's goggles are seperate from the helmet (same problem, the glue fixing broke.)

Can you please tell me asap how I get replacement items.

ThanksHey Gary...EXACT same issues here. Drake's holster is separated in the back, same for the two bullet belts on the henchman as-well-as his goggles detached from helmet. Worse more; I've tried everything short of forcing (not going to either cause I know it will break) but Drake just doesn't line up with the henchman. Either the hand slides on the shoulder or the knee slides on to the arm but both isn't going to happen; it's off by almost a 1/4 of an inch. It looks AMAZING but I believe this design may have been a little over ambitious for the factory to mass produce with adequate quality control.

The hunter seems older on this one. The set he is wearing is slightly different. Base and weapons are different but you can buy the original set and put it on this one. Either way, it doesn't really bother me. Numbered/limited things are, but this means I can get the statues without having to figure out how to make finances work before they sell out.

I still need to order Genji and D.Va once I can get the funds together (but I keep getting sidetracked with other purchases like that employee loot box set... that used up what I had saved for D.Va).

Yeah it was mostly due to them just not anticipating the market for them (they didn't want to make too massive of an order and get stuck with them). Then they realized the demand and started another order (but from what I read their factory was having issues keeping up with even the current orders and the new statues... but they must have found a way around that).

I've received a couple revision samples from the Factory, and with the exception of a few tiny paint changes (his brown nipple, the axe handle should be a little more orange brown and the forearm scars need to be a little more subtle). But overall, I'm really happy with it.

Finally some pics from the new GoW Statue, sweet, thank you Gary, was lookin everywhere but couldnt find anything except one pic from the PSX 2017 :bday:

the base with the troll head looks good, there is also snow on the base, i didnt know that, i like that. The body from Kratos and Atreus incl. armor and weapon also looks good as far as is see. i agree with the paint change you mentioned.

But im disappointed with the faces from Kratos and especially Atreus. I dont like the Facial expressions, looks like they lost alot of details on the revision sample. For example, the way Kratos looks on the revision sample... he looks a little bit like he is scared of something while on the prototype pic he has a strict look. also the eye browns looks better on the proto type, they are longer and thicker

The beard of Kratos looks more detailed on the prototype images compared to the revision sample, this is probably because the color was too thick and so the details disappeared, I often see that problem on statues.

The face from Atreus looks totally different when you compare the prototype pics vs the revision sample pics, especially around his eyes. it looks like they just painted it with one skin color will the prototype has differend skin color types, especially around his eyes (darker skin around his eyes, i think kratos has the same problem but not that bad compared to Atreus). i could be wrong because of the light conditions, but it looks like that Atreus face lost alot of details in his face with that paintjob.

i know that the prototype pics where taken under perfect lighting conditions while your pictures were taken under normal light conditions, that's why I cannot judge 100% (also the camera angel isnt 100% the same), but I am afraid that the final product doesnt looks what the prototype is looking like, especially the faces.

Wow, that's quite a forensic analysis. Okay, here's my thoughts:

1) You can't expect the production unit's paint job to match the prototype perfectly. I'm sorry but that is just not realistic. One is painted over the course of 10 days by a master painter in the U.S. for $1000-1500, while the consumer version is painted by multiple assembly line painters in China over the course of a couple days. I can tell you that this statue looks amazing in person.

2) We reduced the amount of deep surface detail in Kratos' beard to make the molding process easier because the "worms" of hair (as we called them) worked well for the full 1:1 scale statue I made for the PSX tradeshow, but the factory had concerns about molding/casting them. That change was approved by the studio.

3) This statue was originally created using an older version of the Kratos model that had super thick eyebrows. Once we printed and painted the prototype, the eyebrows no longer matched the model that was in the game and we "took down" the eyebrows so they didn't look like two caterpillars sleeping on his forehead. That, combined with the lack of dramatic lighting, and the lower angles from the original pics may be causing what you think is the change in expression, but I can assure you that we didn't change it.

4) The same goes for Atreus. He was molded off the same tooling masters so his face was not augmented at all. With regard to the paint, as I mentioned, we are still making paint adjustments to parts of the statue. I'll see about adding more apps to his skin (he has kind of a cold, pastey skin tone in the game).

I am very happy with the quality of this statue. The amount of paint detail is amazing and the pictures don't do it justice, but I also know that I won't be able to please everyone. If you have concerns, you should hold off until the unboxing videos hit and make your decision then.

At this point, I can only partially agree with you. I have statues in my collection, which definitely can match with the Paintjob from Prototypes... unfortunately very few, but it is possible. There are aspects that of course have to be considered such as production size and of course the costs. but like i said above, i need to see the final product in person to make a final verdict.

Ah ok, thats explains why the beard doesnt looks so detailed. do you know what excatly was the concern from the factory? does the factory had the fear that something can break off the beard, these so-called worms?

Once we printed and painted the prototype, the eyebrows no longer matched the model that was in the game and we "took down" the eyebrows so they didn't look like two caterpillars sleeping on his forehead. That, combined with the lack of dramatic lighting, and the lower angles from the original pics may be causing what you think is the change in expression, but I can assure you that we didn't change it.

You're right, I've just looked at a few pictures of Kratos, the eyebrows are actually thinner, I have not noticed that so far, that explains that of course. The dramatic lighting and the lower angles you mentioned also play an important role, so the photos you provided actually look like the facial expression has changed, but I believe you when you are saying that nothing has changed.

4) The same goes for Atreus. He was molded off the same tooling masters so his face was not augmented at all. With regard to the paint, as I mentioned, we are still making paint adjustments to parts of the statue. I'll see about adding more apps to his skin (he has kind of a cold, pastey skin tone in the game).

Gary I just think to justify that price for a statues of this size... you need the details you were promising with the prototype (or very close to that... honestly if reaching near prototype levels is not realistic you should never release the prototype images to the public). I am predicting some unhappy pre-order buyers just from those changes.

The prototype looks very close to a real little boy's face but in mini statue form... the revision looks more like a bland doll (looks zombie like... like his pupils are too bland/dull). EDIT: Went and saw some images of him, he is kind of that way and his bright/light eyes don't help... I think the only way to fix this would be to add shading to darken around his eyes a bit.

Now with all that said... I like everything else about it. The detail on the armor and weapons looks really amazing, same goes for the base. Just those glaring face issues with that revision sample in my eye.

After looking more Gary... it is the boy's eyes that are mostly to blame (and as you said some more detail apps on his face would help... may I suggest adding a bit of shading around the eyes/eye sockets). They are too bright and make him look zombie like do to his pasty skin type and his super bright blue eyes.

As for Kratos's expression... I figured out the issue. When you changed the eyebrows you accidentally made them straighter instead of slightly raised looking like the originals were. This makes for a much flatter look/expression on his face (instead of a bit raised making him have a bit of a fierce/steadfast look).

At this point, I can only partially agree with you. I have statues in my collection, which definitely can match with the Paintjob from Prototypes... unfortunately very few, but it is possible. There are aspects that of course have to be considered such as production size and of course the costs. but like i said above, i need to see the final product in person to make a final verdict.

Actually, I think $350 is a very reasonable price for a two character diorama with an ornate base. As with all statue collectibles, there's a reason a "Prototype- subject to change by vendor" disclaimers are put on the bottom of the picture. Sometimes, changes have to be made during development, and at this point, I don't think the changes to the beard detail take away from the overall quality of the statue. I certainly hope that the collectors who pre-ordered don't feel that way. There was no insidious "bait and switch". If that were the case, I wouldn't have posted the picture of the production sample.

Did not say it wasn't (please don't read into what I say... take it at face value please). Just said people want the detail they saw to justify it and some may not like the changes (and I think this has great detail... just the couple potential issues i saw and was sharing is all).

That is what I based that part of my reply on. I am sure you agree... if you cannot get this to people then it really shouldn't be the picture you use for the pre-sale of the item (at least that is how I feel). Feels like common sense (also legally slippery too... even with the vague and slightly misleading "Prototype: Final Product May Mary" becasue in effect based on what you are actually saying above what it really should say is "Prototype: Final Product May Not Be As Good"... like how game publishers recently got in tons of trouble for always showing ultra polished unrealistic graphics in trailers or gameplay footage that are far too different from the final product... they have since toned that down a lot becasue it creates false expectations which leads to public backlash and in some cases legal battles)?

Anyways this is WAY off the topic of this particular statue... that issue I was mentioning is more of an industry issue and not this specific statue. Honestly I am sorry for tossing it in there as it wasn't meant to be directed at you.

Yeah could be entirely the light. Again only sharing my conclusions/opinions based what I can see now. It's obviously up to you whether you see and truth or value to that ;)

As for Arteus... I meant his Iris and not his Pupils.

Light and angle probably have a lot to do with the differences, but to me they are very likely.
Maybe Atreus eyes...the white seems too bright, and the pupil not big enough, but it very hard to tell with those very low res pictures.

This was one of the changes we are addressing. We took the blue down slightly (it was too vampire-like especially given his sort of gray skin tone that he has, even in the game...although it alternates from really pale to gray depending on the scene), and he doesn’t have pupils in this iteration (I took the pics quickly as I was leaving the office and only noticed when I got back. That was clearly a goof. I think you’ll be happier once those changes are made.

I saw some pictures on facebook and a video.
Looked fine to me, I think the reason why people complain is Atreus eyes which look a bit off and the magnets in the statue; I heard that the parts aren't hold together very thight.

Yes. Very small statue, detail good but not premium. Many YouTubes show it in detail. My son likes Spidey so got this for $120 on BestBuy pre-order with my apparently now dead Gamers Club Unlocked 20% discount. This is too bad, that program ended... I get to ride it out for the year remaining on my membership but nobody new can join and I won't be able to renew. Anyway, worth $120 cause the Statue is cool, the artbook is really neat and so is the steelbook. $150 pushing it assuming you can even find it anywhere in stock still...

But it most certainly is not worth the $200-$300 being charged by eBay pirates currently

I originally missed Bayek which rolled out and sold out during a hiking trip last year and only luck grabbed it for me when it briefly came back with a few units online later in June.

Now there is a "low" stock warning now on the US site that only 200 units of the legendary Alexios remain. If you visit the Legendary Origins page you'll see there was only 200 Bayeks units to begin with. I wonder why they made ten times as many of Gerard Butler.

Guess we'll never understand Ubisoft.

What really bothers me with 1/4 alexio is the price. $750 for this is very steep. Prime 1 studio price range. And the ES of 1900 doesn't help, plus you don't get the game or anything with it.
At least 1000 CAD over here including shipping and taxes isn't that bad, buying a piece like that from Sideshow would cost a good 1300 CAD.

I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt to the fact that you don't know the story yet. I saw this news that we all get a remastered copy of AC3 free with this game and that the deliverables include a December campaign known as "Legacy of the First Blade." I am really excited to see this "first blade" campaign and hopefully get satisfied about how it all started the way I had hoped to be while playing Origins. Don't get me wrong, Bayek is probably tied amongst my three favorite games right now but I really look forward to this one too and perhaps after playing you may look at your new expensive Alexios statue differently.

I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt to the fact that you don't know the story yet. I saw this news that we all get a remastered copy of AC3 free with this game and that the deliverables include a December campaign known as "Legacy of the First Blade." (watch the video clip at the bottom.

So while this character does not have overt likeness to the assassins you have become used to over the years, perhaps this is the true link to the first assassin and true origin of the creed. This type of statue should be a few hundred at most. Pretty sure the Origins one was super low number wasn't it? Granted the higher number probably allowed them to lower the price (if I remember correctly the Origins one was rarer but more expensive wasn't it?) but having it such a high number lowers its appeal to the people who would want such an item.

Got my Radioactive Fallout 76 bobbleheads and they are sweet.

It just sucks that they are labbelled as 76 instead of Fallout 3 or 4...bought them regardless because of the limited ES (500) and their glow-in-the-dark feature. Sadly you have to use some super bright light for them to glow

Hm, it doesn't strike me. It doesn't capture her character nor does it show a very cool scene. But it's certainly not bad or anything.
What makes it a no go for me is: It's an unlicensed and thus illegal product. Not gonna support that. +as far as I know, Green Leaf is from China? So I would be worried about the final product deviating from the Prototype.

I'm going to wait for Prime 1's take on RE2, DMC, Persona 5 and especially the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. <3

I am quite surprised with Solaire, it is very close to 1:5 scale. Expected a 1:6, but it's actually bigger than the Gecco statues. Otherwise, awesome paint app.
The leds in the praise the sun could have been better hidden if they used a more opaque resin, but I am fine with how it turned out.
