How did you gather this from the description on Zavvi? From there I see only 4 games listed: MGS4, MGS3, MGS1 (code), and Peace Walker. Where did you see MGS2 or any of the original Metal Gear (not solid) series?

^^ I didn't get most of the info from Zavvi. I got info on the HD Collection pack, which tells you what's included for the Western release and the Japanese release. Then I just added MGS4 into it ^_^

This wont take 1 year or anywhere close to sell-out....my guess is alot of people are going to get the regular HD collection anyway which is £28.69 so for a numbered steelbook of a MGS game it isnt that much more in my opinion

If one man in the videogame industry knows how to tease gamers, it’s Hideo Kojima. Recently, Kojima posted the image you see above on his twitter stream, with this message concerning the release of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

“MGS HD series. These are the trophy(result) icons for MGS2 and MGS3!”

So as the tweet states, this is in fact the first glimpse into the trophies that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will offer. I would imagine that these icons would also be used for the Xbox 360 achievements for the collection as well, but Kojima didn’t quite elaborate on that. For all of you MGS vetrans out there, can you tell what feats any of these images might pertain to in either game?

YES! I now am the proud owner of (1) copy of MGS Ultimate! So just to be clear: I tried Paypal several times and it gave an error. Would not kick over to Paypal to confirm info. I then added a regular Visa Debit to my payment options and it worked.

lol its not just worldwide they are rubbish locally aswell in my opinion...im reluctant to order anything from them, on a positive returns are reasonably trouble free and they are cheap with free shipping

Zavvi always packages my stuff in nice thick cardboard. I read somewhere that they are much more careful with international orders than orders within the UK. Maybe thats why :S

If MGS: Subsistence is anything to go by, you will be extremely lucky to get hold of a used copy of this for a lower price - That's if you ever find one off eBay

It's not as if you're not getting your money's worth - It has all five MGS games, plus a SteelBook, plus artcards. For less than £70 I would say that's a steal! Especially when other CE's charge just as much for much less content

This is most certainly going to be sought after by MGS collectors for as long as the franchise remains popular, and there are a hell of a lot of Metal Gear collectors out there already!

I just find it a little off that people are here admitting to re-selling meaning people on who would have liked this game for their own collections miss out.

If you do plan to re-sell then thats up to you. Just dont rub people faces in it and boost about it when others appear to have lost out on a chance of getting a copy due to your greed.

Lets hope justice prevails and Zavvi cancelled all multiple pre-orders so as to make it fairer for everyone.

Yes, IMO Metal Gear Solid are the best games ever :) I'm verrry surprised you've never even played 1! MGS4 scoring 10/10 everywhere, that's usually an indication that the game might be worth at least renting! :P

Although being a CE, I am hoping that this will be a different matter...Gemini, this practice of "not sealing" playstation titles happens a lot in the US. In fact, almost every single special or collector's edition release I've bought here (Eastern North America) has been either completely unsealed, half sealed or poorly sealed. 360 titles on the other hand are always sealed with great care. I think the problem in regards to Sony game products not being sealed belongs to Sony (and it's various divisions respectively to different degrees: SCEA, SCEE...). That's my experience.

That's such a huge factor with this whole ordeal, no single steelbook can withstanding international shipping (in particular) in a padded envelope. I've received a steelbook movie from dvd.co.uk which literally arrive bent like a bender and almost impossible to open up! Worst part was it was a limited edition so they couldn't replace it, so I just returned it. Then I ordered one from UK amazon, they sent it in a padded envelope as well with the same result when it arrived, luckily they were able to replace it but this time they packed it in a cardboard box just fitting enough and luckily arrived unharmed.

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, these special limited edition should really be manufactured with it's on cardboard box like they do for Ballistic art books. So they Zavvi is forced to box them in a bigger cardboard box when sending it off, but they'll probably just stick into a plastic bad =_=

I guess we'll just have to wait and see and pray/hope we get what we pay for.

This is certainly liberating, as November is already flooded with releases. I am hoping for a quiet couple of months in the new year, so this will be one of the early 2012 releases worth looking forward to (along with Mass Effect 3 and the Star Wars X360 console)

They won't change the date in your already existing order. For example my preorder of Silent Hill HD still shows April 2012 estimate (the date they first entered into the system) while the game on the actual site is slated for February 2012 now.
Also releasing Collector's edition but not the standard edition makes no sense and certainly wouldn't happen.

people don't just profiteer from games it's anything, I know a bloke who became a millionaire from selling dinky toys, anything is only worth whatever someone is willing to pay and if anyone needs moderating it's ebay themselves, thieves with there percentage and listing fee's, I try and buy 2 of everything and if I make a profit on 1 then it helps fund my collecting, maybe it's wrong but it's life, I wouldn't put something on ebay at a ridiculous price if people bid that high more fool them, i would never pay over the top for something

Secondly I'm sure the new rules also state that commenting on the seller, the items for sale or really anything that doesn't add to the sale in general is forbidden.

Yeah sorry I will clarify what I mean, I too buy 1 to play then the other one - put away for a future investment only on the basis it could increase in value, the ones I don't put away I put on a buy it now for a price I think is acceptable and not ripping somone off and that is only after I offer it to someone on this forum, I don't moan about the one's I took a chance on ie- helghast edition with which I paid full prrice and they are only worth £40 now, after all I bet I'm not the only one to do this

Well, technically, the UK got a very limited 'exclusive' version. It could also be possibly be getting the same art work on the steelbook case as this and the UHD Zavvi exclusive?? I guess we'll have to wait on the final art work to be released and some official news announcements.

My guess should be just the 3 games similar to the US LE.. Ebgames have been pretty sneaky and quiet about their collector's.. no official announcement yet though regarding other PAL territories will get the same treatment

I just meant the steelbook [exterior artwork] itself might be the same except for the interior/holder, I'm wondering how they "number" the Zavvi steelbook?? Stamped/printer on the case or slip a numbered certificate inside?? :think:

Judging by that price, the pre-order amount will most likely be 10 AUD but will confirm this afternoon or tomorrow (could be higher due to the fact it's MGS)

AU has always been PAL copies as UK, so 360 games will run on your PAL xbox360 (Ps3 doesn't matter).
