No Special Edition for L.A. Noire, Rockstar denied it officially

There will be only some digital bonus for this game, sadly no true collectors edition.

Newspost from Rockstar at PAX Link

There won’t be any special edition release of L.A. Noire, just the preorder bonus content with certain retailers as announced here:

Also as mentioned, all that content will be made available as DLC after the game comes out.

what a shame, i was hoping this game could get some GTA4's CE treatement.

This is surprising news, considering every publisher is falling over themselves trying to release some kind of edition for every game they produce.

    Disappointing

Ah, but as we have seen lately, CE's aren't selling nearly as well as they once were. They're too commonplace now, and it's perhaps because everyone expects it they're not selling. Plus consumers are now wise that they do drop in value after a period of time, and only in rare circumstances do they sell out on pre-orders

I think it's a wise move by Rockstar. There are far too many CE's coming out these days, and they probably don't want to invest that time and money into producing something which will end up being heavily slashed in price shortly after release. Retailers are also less willing to hold onto this kind of stock for very long as well, especially companies like HMV which are on the brink of administration...

  4. gurpswoo1:
That's a good point Gemini, although I still expected Rockstar to do a DLC with slip cover limited edition like they did with Red Dead Redemption.

The larger Collector Edition's really need to be restricted in numbers, making thousands upon thousands is never going to work. Still HMV disappointed me with their crazy pricing strategy recently.

    Time for another G-P Tweet

I'm sure if they see there's a demand for one, they might change their mind

  6. gurpswoo1:
^ I would say the cut off time has come and gone for a more elaborate collector's edition, but for a release like Red Dead redemption. There's more than enough time for that, not that it would be worth anything.

Here is my L.A Noire Nordic Edition UNBOXING (PS3) of the game
This was called Nodic Edition in norway the game was okey overall
