  1. Gemini-Phoenix:
I stumbled upon a listing on the GAME website for a Special Edition of The First Templar:

    X360 - http://www.game.co.uk/Games/Xbox-360/Action-Adventure/The-First-Templar-Special-Edition/~r354817/?s=templar

    PC - http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PC-Games-and-Downloads/Action-Adventure/The-First-Templar-Special-Edition/~r354818/?s=templar

However, with only 16 days until release there are no details about this at all, and they don't even have a pack-shot up.

It also seems to be £5 cheaper than the standard edition, leading me to believe that it doesn't exist - The price for the standard X360 version is £34.99, whereas this Special Edition is only £29.99!

I know there is a Special edition release on steam, perhaps it's just the same DLC card included.

May have to wait until release until anything concrete can be said about it.

    Nice find Gemini.

  3. Queen of Mudcrabs:
£25 sounds reasonable, but it would be nice to get a picture of the contents. Hopefully it isn't just some crappy DLC...

  4. Gemini-Phoenix:
GAME now have box art up on their site, along with details of what's included:

    • An A2 double sided poster showcasing stunning character and location artwork.
    • The Official Game Soundtrack.
So basically some DLC, a poster, and a soundtrack (which may or may not also be DLC)

It is also the only edition currently available as far as I know, so I guess this would come under the "First Release" category

  5. Queen of Mudcrabs:
That's not very impressive. But I guess they don't have the resources to put more money into a CE since the developers aren't that big. The price is okay but to make it more of a special edition they could have made it a steelbook too.
I will probably give this game a try after the price has dropped a little.

I just keep thinking of a poor man's Assassins Creed...

Or a game trying to win some sympathy for the templars in AC xD

  8. Gemini-Phoenix:
When I think of Templars, I automatically associate them with the Broken Sword franchise.

  11. GTRONIC:
I noticed this game advertised in Edge magazine UK and it's listed at GAME UK website 29.99 pounds for X360 and 24.99 pounds for PC.
