Nintendo America recommended this bundle to be retailed at $69.99.

CD featuring select orchestral arrangements of iconic music spanning the history of the franchise.

  2. Gemini-Phoenix:
Kotaku have also confirmed that the initial batch of "vanilla" standard editions will also include this soundtrack CD, but there's no word on how many of these will be printed until Nintendo decide otherwise

There has also not yet been a UK / European anouncement, but I am sure one is due to follow shortly. I would be very surprised indeed if this did not get a UK / Euro release - Unless Nintendo are planning something better for us?

It's funny to hear Americans complaining about things like this when you get so many RPG's which never got released here in the UK.

I suppose this makes up for the likes of Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Wild Arms 2, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy Tactics, Brigandine, Dragon Warrior 7, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden III, Etrian Oddysey 2 & 3, Grandia Xtreme, Grandia III, Wild Arms Alter Code F, Monster Rancher 2, 3, & 4, Dragon Quest Rocket Slime, Inuyasha, Brave Fencer Musashi, Legend Of Mana, Threads Of Fate, Xenosaga 1 & 3, the Dot.Hack G.U. series - And to a lesser extent, Parasite Eve, Einhander, Clock Tower 2, Katamari Damacy, RPG Maker, Hey You! Pikachu! et al...

    Need I go on?

  6. bbki:
    Feeling you dude
But hey that's the game I'm wanna play D:
I like xenogears so I wanna play this one (Xenosaga is too weird for me)
My wii right now is just a dust gatherer
And oh Wild Arms 2 is one of my favorite game too bad the series is down the drain now

  7. tallkid123:
FF Tactics, Tactics Ogre (some but not all), Brave Fencer Musashi and Parasite Eve all got PAL releases?

But I suspect you already know this?

Not on the PlayStation they didn't! Tactics Ogre was recently re-released on the PSP, as was FF Tactics (War Of The Lions)

Parasite Eve was never released here, and if there's a PAL version of Brave Fencer Musashi then I would really like to see some evidence of this! Musashi: Samurai Legend for the PS2 was released (a sequel), but I have never seen or heard of the first game being released in the UK or Europe

  9. Gemini-Phoenix:
You'll all be pleased to know that GAME have finally lowered their price of this to £49.99!

Glad to see it's being released in the UK aswell, although surprised it's not a more elaborate limited edition given it's price.

There's currently a rumour going around various SteelBook communities that Future Shop (Canada) are planning on giving away SteelBooks with pre-orders for The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii

Several Canadian collectors have mentioned this, although I have yet to see any promotional information appear on their website in regards to a SteelBook

The www.futureshop.ca website has two listings for Skyward Sword:

Zelda: Skyward Sword (Solus) - http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...3759fde12een02

Zelda: Skyward Sword (LE with Wii-mote) - http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...a96e3ad23fen02

At time of writing, neither of these pages mention a SteelBook (although that may be subject to change shortly)

If anyone from Canada has any additional information on this promotion (such as conditions or pictures), then please post below!

  13. Twisted:
i apalogise for hijacking this thread, as i am NOT in Canada..but i would request somebody to maybe visit an actual FutureShop store in their area, and perhaps speak with a store manager, and get a definitive word...for those of us that are interested in this, i think it would be prudent to get a "head start", on this..because of the anticipated wild demand and shortages expected..if we dwell on this, it maybe too late..but if there's anybody in Canada?..are they able to stop by the store and ask around?

  14. Gemini-Phoenix:
I will also add, if there's anyone in Canada who's willing to set up a group buy for this (either with the game or without), then I am sure most people here would appreciate it!

If one of you Canadian (or maybe border North American) peeps could get hold of a batch of these without the games, and ship to me in the UK, then I could distribute them within the UK to minimise shipping costs. I reckon I could shift at least a dozen or so with ease

  15. Ryu Kazama:
I'd possibly be interested in the steelbook. Thought I'd throw that out there.

  16. Twisted:
are there any updates or new news in regards to this promo?..being that were less than a month away,..i figured if it's a go..futureshop would need to make it official, anybody know if in the past how long it took them to announce steelbooks promo's etc?

  17. Mike1888:
They do like to take their time. It will probably be up for pre-order shortly, though.

  18. telepathy:
I went to Futureshop today. I can confirm I saw a SKU for it in the system. It had a dummy price of $99.99 & had what the employee described as a gwp (gift with purchase) tag in the title of the item. So yeah, seems pretty legit, just no more information other than that

  19. scottcross:
Hope i'm able to get one of these, just wish they'd hurry up with it
