The Special Edition of Tron: Evolution came in a normal Playstation 3 case, it includes a DLC card to download characters for use in multiplayer. They are:

• Gibson – As leader of the Survivalist faction, Gibson proves invaluable on your quest to save the Grid from relentless enemies.

• Quorra – A unique program that acts as Kevin Flynn’s confidant and sometimes warrior, Quorra helps him survive his life in exile

• Clu – A master program created in Kevin Flynn’s image, Clu oversees the expansion of the digital grid

The only sign to indicate that this was the Special Edition was the front cover, the normal version has an image of one of the characters throwing a disc. The Special Edition had the same character standing, looking away from you and with a yellow circle on his back. This front cover was identical to the US NTSC normal version of the game.

This Edition was exclusive to the  Game-group stores ( GAME, Gamestation and Gameplay) in the United Kingdom.
