Am I mad or in UK it has been sold for 91 usd and in the US for 150?
Hi,
I agree - thanks to a nice pre-order guaranteee I got mine for about ?56 in the end - That is because I preordered on Amazon the day it became available (I tend to do this and then cancel them if I can't afford them - but couldn't resist such a bargain - the bag is going to be my new LAN bag for LAN events).

Hi,
So I finall got around to writing this one up, was my lowest priority due to the fact it wasn't Injustice!
It's actually quite a nice kit, I got the Defiance Ultimate Edition (UK) and, whilst I haven't played the game or watched the TV show yet, the set itself as rather nice - although the packaging is probably more enjoyable than the contents and really brings the piece together.
Check out the full unboxing here.
I do like the bag, and the box the actualy game/model comes in is pretty awesome! In fact the whole set is nice and very well put together.

Got the ultimate edition
its a nice edition
havent played the game much tho
Games a bit boring I think, becomes really repetitive very quickly. Good idea let down by some poor decisions.
Show isn't to bad though, not great but a good start

SyFy certainly doesn't delve very much outside of their comfort zone though
So many elements from other shows by them
Still has potential at the very least, will keep watching for now

I saw this in the back room at my local Gamestop yesterday, still for sale for $100 I believe - hoping it'll be there in a month or so, will probably lose some value and I can pick it up cheap!
Did a quick unboxing of the Defiance Press Kit on my site Missed out the little journal/notebook though, oops, so will add those later x
I bought this edition on day one, not knowing that it was an online-only game. Had I known I wouldn't have wasted my money. As it happens, the game became free-to-play on consoles after a short while. I tried to play it, but it seemed extremely slow and always spawned you Miles away from your objective whenever you died. The controls were difficult to master, and the game bombarded you with information straight away rather than giving you a proper tutorial.
I never really understood how the gameplay actually tied in with the short-lived TV series though. One was supposed to affect the other, but I saw nothing to suggest that my actions were affecting the script-writing of the show. It was a good idea on paper, but in practice it really didn't work.
The show has since been axed, and I doubt that the servers for the game will remain active for much longer - if they haven't already been shut off. It's for this very reason that I resent buying CE's for online-only games. It' a nice CE, but could have benefited from a single player campaign mode. Perhaps that way the game would have been as popular as Halo, and would have ensured that the show would live on long after being axed
