The Nike Zoom EA Sports KD III bundle of NBA Jam is identical to the standard edition release except that the front cover of the game box features alternative artwork featuring Kevin Durant. The case came completely unsealed and was bundled along with a pair of Nike Zoom EA Sports KD III shoes as well as a “Nike Kevin Durant Los Fearless” booklet and poster.

History:
EA had originally planned to release NBA Elite 11 featuring Kevin Durant on the cover, this was to be release along side a pair of  “NBA Elite 11” branded shoes. NBA Elite 11 was canceled before it’s release. Rather than scrap the shoe they rename them to “Nike Zoom EA Sports KD III” and included with each pair a free copy of NBA Jam with the alternative cover art featuring Kevin Durant.

Production:
Only 140 pairs of EA branded shoes and alternate cover game were produced. It is believed that they came unsealed because the covers were swapped out from the standard edition game by hand.

Availability:
All 140 pairs of EA branded “Nike Zoom EA Sports KD III” and alternative cover game were sold exclusively
through the Niketown store in Santa Monica California. Anticipating a high demand for the shoe the store issued a detailed procedure for purchasing on launch day.

KD III EA Sports Wristbands will be issued for the on Thursday, February 17th @ Noon

***You may line up a half hour before noon for wristband distribution. This will be strictly enforced and anyone lining up before 11:30am will be asked to leave***

Those with wristbands can come back to attempt to buy a pair when they are released at 8pm. We ask that everyone with a wristband line up 30 minutes prior to 8pm on Thursday night so that we can organize the line numerically – we will start selling at 8pm.

ONE wristband per person.

Wristbands DO NOT guarantee a pair of shoes or guarantee a size – wristbands ONLY guarantee your spot in line for this launch on Friday.

ONE pair per person may be purchased.
