Arkham Asylum in 3D

Recently Edios announced that Europe will be getting a Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum, while there’s nothing special about the packaging it does include some DLC content the real interesting part is that it will include a pair of 3D glasses and you will be able to play the game in 3D on both your HD or SD TV.

The GOTY edition will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3  in Europe on March 26th at a price of £39.99

I can't see the hype in all this 3D stuff lately. Don't get me wrong, watching movies at the cinema in 3D is great but at home without a screen that fills your field of view it isn't going to look great. I think companies are jumping the gun a little trying to push out the technology where it's not needed or suited to the majority of it's target market.

A pair of 3D glasses? I thought B:AA was a single player game. Well, unless they assume gamers generally treat their stuff poorly and need spares or gfs want to watch while the guy plays...

well I've got a home theater with a projector that fills my field of vision

but I'm not about to buy another copy of this game but I hope they release the 3D thing as DLC. I also have some fancy plastic 3D glasses built into real frames instead of those cheap paper things for when I entertain my guests with 3D movies....

.. it sounds impressive but I've never actually used them

well there's no 1 true authority on game nominations/awards... I'd personally value spike tv's opinion way below that of anyone else's

It's already won several "Game of the Year" awards from other publications. which is good enough for them to release a GOTY edition

funny how Left 4 Dead, Little Big Planet, and Fallout 3 were all released in 2008 and all got GOTY editions
