Final Fantasy Xiii-2 Crystal and Collector’s Edition announced

Square-Enix have announced that the two Limited Edition for Final Fantasy Xiii-2 will be the Colletor’s Edition and Crystal Edition.

The Collector’s Edition will include the following:

  • Unique packaging
  • Composer selected soundtrack: CD with selection of music tracks from the game, specially chosen by the composers
  • Artwork book “The Art of Final Fantasy XIII-2”, featuringartwork across the production.
  • 6 collectable postcards, featuring high quality CG artwork of main characters in the game.
  • High Definition Lenticular Artprint, showing an iconic image of the Lightning character.

The Crystal Edition will include the following:

  • Presentation box
  • 4 Disc Final Fantasy XIII-2 Original Soundtrack, with premium digipak packaging.
  • Exclusive Final Fantasy XIII-2 T-Shirt from the Square Enix Products range. Never to be available elsewhere.
  • Artwork book “The Art of Final Fantasy XIII-2”, featuring artwork across the production.
  • 6 Collectable postcards, featurig high quality CG artwork of main characters in the game.
  • High Definition Lenticular Artprint, showing an iconic image of te Lightning character

There will also be a pre-order pack from selected retailers:

  • Steelbook Case ( No game included)
  • Three lithograph artcards
  • Episode I novella
  • DLC pack

They will be priced at £59.99 for the Collector’s Edition and £79.99 for the Crystal Edition, in the UK the only retailer with the pre-order Steelbook is GAME UK.

    I was about to say "*facepalm* are they kidding me again? same shit as last time" Until i saw that the Crystal Edition has the full soundtrack. If It's the limited edition of the soundtrack, then maybe it's somehow worth buying, but still £80 is a lot for no exclusive content except some t-shirt I could probably order to make better myself.
    The preorder pack looks sweet though, but I don't get it, why doesn't it contain the game?
    The novella should be available in all editions, or at least in crystal.

    There goes my dreams of a figure T_T... I'll try to grab the crystal edition and preorder pack, and i'll save buying the standard LE for when it's priced £20, because it probably won't be limited at all.

    you're already getting the game, the steelbook is just an added bonus if you pre-order...seems a great deal, sure the extra content for £20 more is debatable (though overall I'd suggest worth it for a fan) but the pre-order bonus from game makes it a good deal without doubt IMHO

    The pre-order pack comes separately so they can give it to all editions. I agree it should be in both edition as standard though.

    Also you can get the pre-order pack with just a normal copy of the game.

    I presume the 4 disc soundtrack will be the standard original soundtrack but those details will come later and will be able to confirm then.

    I too was hoping for a figurine, but I guess they will milk the release with their usual play-arts figurines.

    Yeah, I thought that too, unfortunately, but i still have hope it's the LE soundtrack, the way they emphasized the fact that it has

    like it was something special confuses me. Then again they may mean it as in opposition to the poor cardboard sleeve the demo soundtrack has.
    But the Type-0 CE has the limited soundtrack. I know it's Japan but still...something that is £80 should have at least that much.

    like I said, this is exactly what happened with U3 EE and then they removed it from site...staying in my basket but always got address error...also not got email from game about my actual pre-order - that's unusual.
