Max Payne 3 Special Edition available for pre-order

Rockstar Games have announced that Max Payne 3 will receive a Special Edition which will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. They also have unveiled the first details of the Special Edition which will include the following content for sure:

  • A copy of Max Payne 3.
  • 10” tall Collectible Max Payne Statue created in a collaboration between TriForce and Rockstar Games.
  • Series of game-inspired Original Still Life Art Prints that depict some of Max Payne’s inner demons and vices.
  • Copper and brass-plated iron, bullet-shaped Bullet Keychain featuring a screw-off back.
  • Classic Multiplayer Character Pack of eight playable multiplayer characters for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, including fan favorites from the original Max Payne and Max Payne 2 like Max Payne from Max Payne 2, Mona Sax and Vladimir Lem.Disorderly Conduct Multiplayer Weapons Pack for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer that includes the Hammerhead Auto Shotgun, G9 Grenade Launcher and Molotov cocktail.
  • Max Payne 3 Official Soundtrack featuring the game’s instrumental score.

The Edition is already available for pre-oder and only until January 15th, 2012 while supplies last. Retailing for $99.99/£99.99/€109.99

    Thank you so much Vhal and Ayiu! I've been waiting and hoping for an announcement for Max Payne 3. Max Payne is one of my most beloved series...lots of fond memories of my younger days are intertwined with Max Payne.

    Max is one of my most favourite games, especially since it was part of my teenage years. So makes it all the more important for me to pick it up...That Max on Sax cutscene from Max payne 2

    Deus Ex, Sonic, System Shock (through Bioshock), Driver and now Max Payne. So glad to see the classics back. I heard the cutscene-comic panels are back... and they're better than ever. Still worried about the game though, given the history of the games that take a while before they come out. Take a look at Alan Wake or Duke Nukem Forever for instance. Those were horrible, horrible games. Then you have Gran Turismo 5 and L.A. Noire. No doubt that those two amazing games, but if you're like me, you can tell that so much potential was squandered.

    Then again, Skyrim took five years to make and it has a good chance of winning the competition, which is pretty good if you take into consideration how Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Dark Souls, LittleBigPlanet 2, Gears 3, Human Revolution and Revelations all performed. Also, I doubt Rockstar's gonna want to screw this up. Max Payne is just as definitive to their name as Grand Theft Auto.

    By the way, for those who don't know yet, the statue's being made by Triforce; they're the guys responsible for the Gears 3 Epic Edition Marcus Fenix statue.

    zavvi and the hut often do 10% off codes so might wait on one of them.

    In Australia, both EB & GAME have the CE up on their sites for $150, which equates to pretty much the same as the UK price, so not much saving there.

    AFAIK it'll be available in Europe, US and Australia.
