Twisted, wheres your colection?
in my basement
I haven't taken photos of my collection as a whole for a while. These are the last photos I've taken of my collection: http://solid-orange.com/930 they're over a year old at this point. I've added 2 more large shelves since then.
I'm actually considering selling off a bunch of CEs that I don't care as much about since I've run out of room.
you have one of the best collections i have seen on this forum!...the iceing for me would be that awesome double dragon arcade cabinet..i see it's "off" in the pic..is it a fully functioning unit?....i always dreamed about having my own double dragon arcade cabinet.
Thanks! I should probably take some updated pictures.
That Double Dragon cabinet has actually been converted to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, I just never changed the marquee
nothing was fundamentally modified though the control panel is a custom built replacement, I could pop back in the original CP and JAMMA board and it would be right back to it's original state.
I used to work at an arcade and managed to keep a few machines that were destined for the junkyard. I have a "Ring King" machine with a broken monitor and I had also grabbed a "Contra" machine that I gave to a friend.
I'd love to have a dedicated Killer Instinct 2 machine (my all time favorite arcade game) or a Williams Wide Body Pinball machine (I'm a huge pinball fan) sadly you can't touch most of those pinballs for less than $3K
that's one thing i miss about growing up...arcades...i can't remember the last time i saw a game cabinet out in the wild...i remember seeing them not only at an arcade..but also at laundromats and hotels/motels etc...i bet if they made arcade machines..where the games were exclusive to the arcade and cutting edge..it would still work..but i would suspect the 25 cent days are long gone.
Since there was some interest I made a quick video tour of my collection
