I know it was only handed out in Belgium and Netherlands, and limited to 250 or 500. Very rare, I have 2, and all are different in shape. Curious how much it's worth too, should be around 150-250.

With how plain the kit is I would say at most it might get $200-$300 or so hype price at launch. I think a decent private sale price for one would be $120 or so (right now... less in the future as it will drop in time as long as the game is not TLOU level). This kit should behave like the inFAMOUS Second Son Press Kit (if that helps).

This is all guess work... you need an example and it is far too early for good examples.

Hello!

I just acquired a bag of goodies for the release of the Nintendo Switch, and I was curious about its value (got other stuff on my head to buy :) )

So it's a pretty big shoulder bag, where I guess you can store a Switch in (there is an elastic band inside to keep it in place, and it's padded all around). Plus you get the notebook, the post-it pad, the neck strap and the pen (which is in metal and suprisingly heavy).

That was only my opinion about price ;)

I think that GameTrigger is prob around the right value with the extras included as bags are always hard to sell and usually end up going at much less than the retail price of a similar non-videogame bag which is strange but true - even such things as leather briefcases for massive franchises like Assassins Creed.

The notebook, pen etc add the value :thumb:

WOW!!! Was I wrong this time on the hype price of the first sale. So the first auction finally took place for one of these and it sold for $550 (that is almost twice as much as I thought hype could pull in for a plain kit like this)!! For a box and an booklet essentially. I am shocked.

The great news is like all these Sony kits is there are almost 3,000 of them out there and after a few months the price will come down to reasonable levels.

Hype is so weird sometimes, all it takes are a couple of hyped people to bid feverishly for a kit and there it is (like the $5,000 Mind in Revolt book sale, or $5,000 for a Murder of Crows, actually Bioshock is the only other franchise that I have seen to skew value this far before... it is like they are both unicorns :D ). But yeah wanted to say I misjudged the hype of this one for sure (though I have not misjudged how plain the kit is).

So now the hype first auction price is set at $550/$560 + shipping.

So a good price right now is sadly anything around $300 or better based on this at this exact moment.... but this will change as more auction out for lower and lower (may drop super fast and spike down at one point, we will have to wait and see if the hype for the greatness of the game can keep a dull item like this kit up in value). I personally would not buy one for myself until it is down to $120-$150 range as even for a great game that is all that kit can muster from me (if only it had a neat item like a Focus Replica... then it would be worth the prices, or at least they would make more sense).

Well as a rule of thumb I would take how much it is worth opened as is and then go from there on the signatures added value (which is very dependent on franchise hype and if there are any known names that singed it).

Just watch eBay and check sold listing my friend. It is pretty easy to see where this is heading (and I noticed as well, CE items even shot up like crazy due to demand... though the press kits settled to my original high estimate so I felt better about myself after that :D ).

Also it sold for $400 ($395, just checked... that is insane).

I sold a Heavenly Sword PK recently for $110 on eBay.

The Resistance one just does not come up very often and the tin on a lot are damaged so a good one is worth at least $160. I sold one for $180 a couple years back but not many have come up since.

It's a little frayed on the edges, since it was shipped to me without any bubblewrap or anything in a small box. And the mirror-like surface below the ship is scratched from playstation sweden (from whom I won it) probably playing a bit with it before they decided to hold a raffle for it.

I'm not a collector, and I don't know at all how much it would be worth. If it's not that much, I'd rather keep it since it's pretty damn cool.

The only issue with EBAY is the cost otherwise I've bought and sold hundreds of items and haven't had a "loss". I have had issues but nothing that wasn't resolved through either EBAY or PayPal. Only accept PayPal, post good pictures, be accurate about condition in the listing and take pictures or video of you packing the item up for shipment so there is no question as to the condition before it left your hands. Make the buyer pay shipping and insurance for the full amount. Be sure to use the EBAY shipping option when creating your listing, you'll need an accurate weight and dimensions of the box but this ensures any buyer knows what their shipping cost will be and it makes international shipping super easy.

If you use EBAYs shipping deal when creating the auction it automatically calculates off the buyers location. Just make sure your box info is accurate.

Honestly speaking for what i have seen others selling for i believe $1000 is a realistic number.

The only issue with EBAY is the cost otherwise I've bought and sold hundreds of items and haven't had a "loss". I have had issues but nothing that wasn't resolved through either EBAY or PayPal. Only accept PayPal, post good pictures, be accurate about condition in the listing and take pictures or video of you packing the item up for shipment so there is no question as to the condition before it left your hands. Make the buyer pay shipping and insurance for the full amount. Be sure to use the EBAY shipping option when creating your listing, you'll need an accurate weight and dimensions of the box but this ensures any buyer knows what their shipping cost will be and it makes international shipping super easy.

It is actually against eBay ToS to charge a buyer specifically for insurance. All you can do as a seller is include it in the cost of the item or the cost of shipping, but you cannot specify that the buyer must pay for insurance costs.

Personally, I pay for the insurance myself when selling items. It is a couple dollars to keep me protected and I have made multiple insurance claims to USPS (that were paid in full) for damaged items. Someone ends up with a free damaged item and I still have the money I was paid for the item.

Sometimes more sometimes less... just depends on the timing really. Also if you wait until next year to sell them (when DS3 comes out) they will be worth more then.

I got 2 copies of the UbiWorkshop limited print "Revelations" by Craig Mullins, from 2011.

Might anybody have any idea about these? The Collector's Edition was limited to 500pcs and I don't know about the limited edition. I suspect it was a larger run. Both are brand new and still inside their plastic bags in the boxes. They're letter openers made under license by Epic Weapons. I think these are similar to the one that was available to Gamestop reward Members, but are general sale items. Epic Weapons doesn't appear to exist anymore either, so these are long since sold out.

Watch Dogs Limited Tin Box E3 2013 Collector's Edition $50? These have been all over the place over the coarse of their existence so hard to know what they are worth now.

If you don't mind it being incomplete missing the USB then it is a fair price (the game is nothing as you can replace that with any copy). Also if you watch out you never know you may be able to track down a USB for it (I ahve seen one for sale seperatly in the past... but odds are low).

Last Sunday I posted some long-time possessions up on ebay. One of those items was a copy of the Fallout 1 Soundtrack on CD. I had no idea what to ask for it, so I started the auction for 24.99.

Not long after starting the auction I received a message from a buyer asking me what I'd give for it. I said I didn't know what it was worth. He asked if it was the actual soundtrack or if it was a misprint with the game on it instead. So I put the CD in my PC and it was a misprint not the soundtrack!

I took the auction down and put the CD back up on ebay with the new info in the title and description, but still didn't know if the misprint-status of the CD helped or hurt the value! This is the only forum I could find that I think might answer my question!

Misprint meaning the FallOut 1 game for PC was not supposed to have a physical PC release? Or misprint as in there was a packaging error? And the music CD and physical PC disc was sold worldwide? Because it depends on if you have a true rarity or not..if the physical game disc is rare than $24.99 is too darn cheap!

To look at it you'd think it's the soundtrack for Fallout 1. But when you put it in the PC it's a game CD! You could install the game right off it! So its a misprint. There are a few more pics on the ebay listing but I don't want to break any rules about linking to outside auctions.

No idea about the Press kit, thats not my thing.
But a quick search on ebay (check past sales as well), should give you a good idea of the value

Rare isn't necessarily going to mean it's worth anything. If nobody here would know an idea on a price, it's probably a good sign they're so obscure that there's no market for them (and a corresponding lack of real value).

Old PC games are a very niche market nowadays.

Because, like defiler said, if no one was able to reply you so far, then its because is so niche, that it has almost no value

They are worth what someone is prepared to pay and you sell.

Example, I have an item and I don't want to sell it for less than £100 - however the market only wants to pay £80...the value to the market is lower than the value to me, so I won't sell.

I do this on eBay, ask a high buy it now price and have 'open to offers'. I set the 'accept' level to the lowest I would accept without thinking and the 'reject' to lowest I would reject without thinking...anything else is negotiable...but in this area you can also explain the worth to the potential seller.

So in the example above;

BIN = £120
Accept = £100
Reject = £80

Anyone bidding above £80 is worth speaking to and maybe you can say 'never seen this condition before' etc.

Long story short, advertise for more than you want and listen to reasonable offers.
