Yeah i think so as well - it looks awesome from the outside and some really top notch items on the inside - have the PC and 360 version both new and sealed - was thinking of selling one but might keep hold of them for awhile yet, suppose it's not been that long since they were released...

Absolutely Lemur...I think it has to do with the fact it is a typical PC game that was not well adopted to other Gaming Platforms (XBOX&PS3). I am also afraid something similar will happen with The Witcher 2 release on console.

I disagree - CD Projeckt, the studio behind The Witcher 2 are one of the best out there, they understand the customer, what they want and how they want it - are they perfect? no, who is? but they are dedicated to bringing the PC version to the xbox in the right way and i think they can do - you could already play the PC version with an xbox controller - they have adapted their RED Engine to provide the same visual quality - i'm buzzing about it so much.

Japanese edition would be in the region of maybe 25 -30 £
If it is a translated one you might look at way more. It is a bit like with the MGS art books.

Today I got one half of my holy grail, Ninja gaiden sigma 2 collectors edition, the set itself is not sealed but each individual item that came sealed with the set is sealed, would anyone know how much this is worth?

Outside cover/slip case is in perfect shape, no dents, tears or damages.

Some people have PM-ed me so i just want to set the record straight for people to save them PM-ing me and getting repeated content etc :)

I have 6 of them and they are not brand new, but are all in very good condition, some better than others but at the very least i would class the lower as still very good - they do have some minor scratches etc but that is how i got them and not much i can do about that now - they are mostly the back to be honest though so you wouldn't see them normally anyway - i can provide pictures if anyone wants them..

As for the steel books themselves they are very nice - i wasn't aware how nice they were beforehand - they have a very nice shine/reflection in light and the artwork jumps out on the front - they also have inside artwork showing some of the cars including Finn McMissile and the organisation CHROME :)

EDIT - you can have one in your grubby mitts for just £7 including delivery - i just couldn't go lower if i sold them for £4-5 after postage i'd have almost nothing left and i don't know what this 1 cent deal was but i didn't pay that little for them :) ha

It was on the UBisoft website in October-ish? Maybe a bit earlier than that actually - they sold out fast though, it was obviously just them trying to shift old stock in time for Revelations coming out.

I was half expecting them to be really damaged or something but surprisingly they were mint and sealed.

I think the watch might be a bit too much, not an expert on resi stuff but judging from what people have been saying, maybe a bit too much... The raccoon city sign is way too much, usually go for about $60-$80... The mass effect is fair enough and the soundtrack is also a bit steep, could get one for around $30?

The cheapest on eBay.ca like new is $150 and $30 shipping. Brand new is $200 and $50 shipping. Note that they're located in the US though (same edition), so the shipping costs suck. There's a mint one in the US going for $135 with free shipping though, but that's only within the US.

I'd say $150 is a fair price if it really is in mint condition. Otherwise $125 sounds a lot better.

It's made somewhat like a PS2 (similar material). If you recall, the PS2 had 2 "layers" to it, the disc area and then the bottom "sink", if you like. The kit is the top disc layer. You pull a tab from behind that also forces the tray to open revealing 2 discs and the booklet. It's pretty well built. The discs and booklet are labelled "Press Disc".

Basically, at quick glance you'll think it's a PS2 console but it's not. It's essentially a modified shell with a tucked away tab to pull at to release the discs/booklet.

For Xbox ( Plasma Cutter) = £15 - £25 unsealed or £30 -£40 sealed

For PS3 ( Digi-Pak) = less than £15 unsealed or £25-£30 sealed

It may also be from Spain or Italy, not sure what other European countries got it.

If you plan on selling it soon, then yes.

If not, then no.


If you do get it graded, but not to sell. You will end up getting all of your video games graded because "it doesn't look right if only 1 or 2 games are sealed&graded and the rest are not."

It really depends on the game but for a NGS2 PB, I would say the value is high enough for it to be graded.

However be very wary, the condition need to be mint, getting a grade of 85 or less will actually make it less valuable. You will want to get 90 as a minimum. Inspect your item very well to ensure it has no defect or a very small defect to seal.

The alternative is to order a VGA case only, this will automatically increase the value of the game no mater the condition. Plus there is far less cost, risk and time involved.

Guys, I've just finished exams, so I'm going through some of my stuff in storage and I came across this, it is definitely complete and original, that much is certain, I THINK its an MGS 3 artbook, but its got some really weird stuff in it and it has no cover... Has some random stuff in it like Snake vs Godzilla etc. Also, the whole thing is in Japanese, I can read and understand a bit of it, but going through the whole thing is going to take too much time...

Also has introduction by Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa... Also lots of stuff on the preceding two MGS games... can anyone slap a value on this for me? I'm clueless...

Was going to take pics from start to finish anyway,just in case anything
turns up damaged,which i really hope doesnt happen. This would be an

hey guys my friend just bought a box full of retro games and systems for $200. There was so many great titles. I think he got a helluva deal for it(I'm jelly)and I was curious on how much these few tittles were.

Jeez, Earthbound? You definitely scored if the systems are in good shape. Super Metroid is a great pickup too; easy $30-40. I have Metroid for the NES, don't think that one's worth anything.

The Mega Man games make up the difference for sure though. I think X is the cheapest of the lot, but the rest range from $20-40 a piece. (Care to post a pic of Mega Man X front and back? I think mine is a bootleg. :lol:)

Yeah I figured! But then again too bad I wasn't the one who bought it but my friend so I wouldn't be able to take a pic lol sorry. He got nearly 60+ SNES+NES games, super nintendo system, sega saturn, sega genesis, some portable genesis handheld with a fat batterypack behind it(not sure what that is though) some zelda SNES games, an Atari Jaguar system with a few games and two controllers and other stuff.

Need I remind you all of this for only $200! Just the Earthbound alone makes up for what he paid for it lol. I'm jealous! I think I'm going to rob him when I go over to his house next time, jk :D

I bought that sealed SFII for under $60 last year, but I guess I got a deal. It actually should be about 2-3 times that price, but you probably won't be able to sell it at that price. There is not a lot of demand. And the only copy for over $150 never got sold on eBay. So I think ~$90-100 would be fair price.
Megaman 9 is about $200-300;

Sup guys, this isn't a video game as such, but it is a collectors edition watch, limited, numbered run of 800. I got this as a gift a few years back, I think retail cost then was about $150, its long been outta production, again, only 800 made, I've got number 100 (Numbered on the back, 100/800). That is an almost guaranteed reseal, don't fall for it.

Official Sealed ones in Europe came with the slipcover sealed with a clear tear strip.

Sadly in 90% of cases visual inspection is the only real way, Some are very easy to spot while others are harder without more detailed pictures.

This is the problem with eBay, most seller don't bother with good detail pictures .

As for VGA, there biggest USP is that they remove the fear of reseals.

They use experience and prior knowledge to determine a reseal together with Visual inspection of the glued section. Also inspection of the game under seal, fingerprint marks or other defects to game art or case.

What I mean in prior knowledge is:

- Tearstip generations, game may not have had a 2nd gen tear strip.
- Shrink wrap vent holes including direction
- Wrong seal design for game
- Colour matching tear strip
- Weight, game may not have all contents inside
- manufacturing defects in seal, it is harder to fake a manufacturing defect on a seal because knowledge of it is gone once opened.

I expect VGA to use one or maybe two of those methods above.

however even VGA have made mistakes and so you can not always use them for a definitive answer. Although I have said in the past that if the buyers think VGA is a 100% reliable source, it makes no difference if a reseal or not.

Unfortunately they can, the very best can do a fantastic job and I have personally purchased some resealed games that I was convinced were real. It was only later I found out it was a reseal after getting clued up on how seals should be inspected.
