Today I picked up a promo copy of Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus for £5 in Cex.

I don't expect it to be worth much, not that I'd sell it anyway but I can't find anything about it online and was wondering if anybody could help me out?

That isn't my copy but it's the only picture I've seen of it. (I need a new camera so I can't really take pics.)
Mine has the BBFC "15" on the bottom left corner rather than the German age rating.

The other thing I found odd was that it's in a CD-sized case but it came with a full-sized manual and in conjunction with this the disc looks like a normal one rather than the other plain silver and blue promos I've seen which could mean it's been swapped out to be fair, although saying that, I've not seen too many other promos with actual cover art.

You got it from CEX so it might well have been a disc swap or the like. I'm going to say it's a promo. Not all promos come with covers, some do, some don't. Depends if the publisher can be bothered to pay extra. But since you mentioned the disc art is the same..., I'm still saying it's a promo. A promo of a not so good game staring a damn good character.

Hey mate, it would help to ask the sender to put some padding inside the Alliance edition and some bubble wrap in the vacant areas inside as well before shipping since the whole edition is made of paper, both outside and inside, and is very fragile. My order got damaged and shipping is so expensive to Italy that I didn't even bother sending it back :(

Well on the outer side, the N7 paint was a bit smudged, not blatantly visible, but worth mentioning. There were no rips or creases outside. Al the inner contents were fine. Its just the box that flimsy.

The book is probably worth about $200 to $250 now a days. I believe the last few have sold at about those prices. At one point, they were selling for at least $800.

As for the bottle, I love mine. I think it's worth it for sure. It is just a small plastic bottle though; it's smaller than any actual wine bottle that I've ever seen. It's more comparable in size to a 40 (40 oz beer bottle I mean.) It's just a cool thing to have and looks great on my bookcase, so again, I really like it. The posters are a nice bonus too.

The Halo 2 CD wallet,you wont find any specific info. I take it its the nice metal cd case with Halo 2 logo on it? If it is,these were actually included in a console pack,not a halo console believe it or not just an original black xbox console. The pack also came with 2 games(top spin & i think project gotham racing) as well as a dvd remote. The key chain was a give away in some stores with a pre-order as was the luggage tag. The thermos,i cant remember,well i am not expected to remember everything,lol

Well there never really was any official Halo 2 console.By including a promo type item that the buyer could use regulary & had Halo 2 logo on it,it would perhaps encourage them to buy the Halo 2 game

Personally, i think you could get more from the right press kit or metal gear collector. Dont underestimate metal gear fans!
Seems there are 3 different variants, the spanish kit, which was handed out at press event, french version with leaflets, and the italian version that myplay.it has (which is disappointing imho, pen is not metal gear branded but just konami, just like the watch).
I dont know for how much he sold it, but asking price was 370.

I have a friend who works in IGN (my press kit source) who has this kit. He told me a rough number since i have been looking for it recently. the tin was also distributed in some events with misc goodies in form of swag kits. I am pretty sure that a significant number more than just a dozen exist of these kits.

As for the Uncharted, both drakes fortune press kit and UC2 press kit came in excess for 4000, perhaps the UC2 kit in bit more numbers. The MGS4 press kit is like similar case, there are way more floating than people know and hence more sought after.

Something similar to the UC2 promo journal as well. While some sold it here on the forum for $ 500-$700, I bought it for $150 off ebay:

It just depends how patient you are in waiting for good deals for such items (as it depends on its condition), a ball park price figure for these is difficult to gauge :)

Well, I want to get VGA acrylic cases for most of these kits. For that I need to work on the dimensions of each one of them and that would involve a lot of time and effort. Regarding my CEs I want to get most of them graded but shame we don't have such facility in this country.

But I hope atleast I can put my Uncharted collection, which is nearing completion (primarily just need the folio and the ring, got almost everything else in UC in multiples of atleast 2 or more :D )

The VGA cases are quite sturdy and well built tbh. I started collecting serious UC stuff just since late last year. That is the only franchise I really collect almost anything of. Else I keep myself limited to just CEs/LEs of other franchises.

Its the affording them part that im lacking, i cant keep up with the general CE's that keep coming out let alone press kits, though if i had the money i think id go after importing CE's anyway lol

Yeah I struggle with that too as I sold my Heavenly Sword and Resistance 1 press kits. Although I have now replaced my RFOM one. I now have a grand total of 3. It's probabley more difficult for you being in Australia as Sony have only 5 afaik for your region and they do the most and probabley best ones.

The figurine, is just from the Ac1 Ce right? The Ce goes for 100+ euro. So id say maybe 50 for the figurine?

The ACII press kit is anyones guess, but with all the crazy AC collectors i would say at least 200 euro. (probably even more, cant believe ppl spend so much on just a booklet).

Ok I have a quick question. I am not planning on selling any of them, I just want to know out of curiousity. I know that the value you guys give me wont always be accurate because the way I see it is that something is valued at what the other individual is willing to pay. Like you could tell me its only worth $10 but then sell for $10,000 and vice versa. Ok I wanted to get a ruff estimate on how much my Esc Neo Tokyo Drake figure prototype with the 20 by 30 giclee artprint that both of these items come together and is limited to 1of1 worldwide and my other drake figure that its called the Desert Mirage Drake figure that comes with a 20 by 30 giclee artprint as well and its also a prototype with only 1of1 worldwide as well.

Well the press kit that people are really going after and pay big money for is the NTSC version just for it being in english. There is one on ebay that is not the NTSC version and its for a buy it now price of $500 but it has not sold.l

NTSC? It's a PAL only kit isn't it? Also the Uk one's in English? As for the ESC figure I just took a guess, it's do hard to get an idea with stuff like that. I was basing it off A. The original price, B. Although Uncharted's a huge franchise the ESC are relatively obscure compared to stuff like the Fortune Hunter Edition and even the folio and C. The amount of interest I'd seen on websites.

Well naughty dog in California got those press kits that they even got it with a soundtrack. That's why I said that it was released in NTSC format and that there's in English.


And I know what you mean about that it's hard to value the drake figures because really it is hard to value them because since its the only one in the world you can't really follow a price on it since there has never been one sold. It's like the fortune hunter edition, I have seen them go as low as $650 when they first came out all the way to $7500. It all really depends.

The bag shown on the video is what Gamespot received from 2K and it includes 4 Borderlands 2 games (seems to be Xbox version, in the video @ 1'30 ...) with the yellow stripe we oftenly see on the game versions given to press and media for tests before release.
It also includes *some* goodies...
So, to me, this bag is a Press Kit. (edition of a game given to press or media people)

What Thetof91 has posted is a picture of "The Border Lands" 16bits game which appears to be a marketing material. It doesn't seem to include a Borderlands 2 game version.
So, to me, this is not a press kit... Just some marketing materials as it appears to be many made around Borderlands 2 release.

I have one of these.

They were sent to the press, so its a pseudo-presskit, because to my knowlege they did not receive a "presskit" like we usually see (promo discs, game disc, etc)

Only time will tell how much they will be worth, depends on the demand of this item and how many were made.

Its a neat item, a 16 bit "remake" of borderlands 2, with a floppy drive and floppy disk wth the game.

The european version does not come with the poster btw.

Hi Everyone,

I stumbled upon a box of factory sealed PS One games and went searching online and found this forum. I'm not into collecting games, but I figured some of these games may have some value and I figure someone could benefit from these that would actually appreciate them.

I understand that condition dictates value, all of my games are factory sealed and, to me, look like they're in very good condition. The majority have pristine plastic wrap and no cracks in the plastic cases. Although, some of the games have a hole drilled through the side like this:

All games are NTSC and the Greatest Hits titles are labeled as so in the list below.

What are the best titles I have hear and what are they worth in today's market?

Most of the games are pretty much worthless. Sealed or unsealed most of those are sports games sealed are unsealed there jack worthless. Having that hole can make or brake it to. Also any sealed collector will seal that hole and instantly refuse to pay thus your going to have to get used prices for it all. Final Fantasy both of them and star ocean are about the most worth your going to get out of any game in there from what I can see. Even as used unless someone realy want to play the game just because of that hole some people will refuse to pay as well. From my understanding on what yo have value is what maybe maybe $1 in total for ever last sport game that just how worthless sport games are. $20 or less for the final fantasy both of them and star ocean. Not sure on value of the rest but I would say maybe $5 for the rest if your lucky.

Can someone tell me, if I've got a treasure or a worthless piece of a game :)

Used Blade Runner '97 PC CD-Rom version (4 CD's) in the original case with original booklet manual. The CD's seems to be ok: slight scraches on the first CD, but the others are near mint. Tested that the game itself installs ok and seems to be working (played for few minutes).

But the strange part is that the CD's are labeled "For S.E. Asia Only" and I'm not able to find anything similar from the web/ebay/etc. And in addition the cover differs from the other's I've found.

You have some rare in there, if 3 years back you probably get a decent price.
Unfortunately digital copy and economy run the price down to the ground.
Bust a Groove brand new can go 60-80 usd (Used to be lower hundred but not anymore)
Legend of Legaia about $40
Grandia $40-50
MediEvil $30-50

For the rest of sports and Disney game pretty much crap in terms of price

assassins creed 2 white edition figure? unboxed, i dont expect it is worth anything, has been on my shelf since ac2 come out, was not into collecting then so threw box away.

Not worth nearly as much as it use to be. Ever sence the psn copy came out the value has gone down in more then half. Pluss its great hits that devalues it even more and probably has a hole devalueing it even more.
