I hope they don't destroy that other wise neat looking steel book with that stupid rating and brand logo !!

  3. Knoell:
Is this coming to the States? These collectors editions at regular price with steel books and actual content are nice compared to other ones. I am looking at you shift 2.

  4. tinbin007:
It is inevitable that it will land up in US. Although official confirmation of any sorts is not yet available.

  5. Gemini-Phoenix:
I also just received the exact same eMail from them. I'll definitely be pre-ordering it as it's a SteelBook, and I have also found that Namco CE's tend to be incredibly limited in numbers! I would highly recommend grabbing a copy now while you still have the chance, as this could become a sought after rarity after release...

  6. Gemini-Phoenix:
    ShopTo.net have this for £36.85...

    X360 - http://www.shopto.net/XBOX%20360/VID...20Edition.html

GAME also have this edition on their website for a whopping £59.99!

    PS3 - http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PlayStat...ion-/~r354904/

    X360 - http://www.game.co.uk/Games/Xbox-360...ion-/~r354905/

From what I can tell, both show the same SteelBook and extras, but for some unknown reason the GAME price is almost double the ShopTo price...

Definitely going to contact them about this and request a price match, as this is ridiculous!

Agreed. Especially when ShopTo quote the original RRP as only £49.99 in the first place...

Unless the version GAME are selling is a different CE altogether, although from the details provided it's the exact same edition as the one ShopTo are selling. I am assuming that the GAME pre-order price is a palceholder and due an adjustment, but still worth pointing it out to them all the same.

If it's a different CE which includes the SteelBook, then they should at least alter their listing to reflect this, as well as add new information to differenciate it from the lesser edition - They need to be checking the details on this one, as a difference of £23 between retailers for a pre-order is clearly not right!

  10. Gemini-Phoenix:
Despite the £59.99 price, I pre-ordered at GAME hoping it was just a placeholder price. As it turns out, it was, and they have since sent me an eMail informing me that the price has been lowered to a much more reasonable £39.99!

I've ordered from Zavvi a lot, everything has always arrived in pristine condition.

    Have you had issues?

  15. gurpswoo1:
Buyers in the UK will rate Zavvi one of the worst in terms of packaging. The trouble is, the postal service here is terrible and there packaging methods are very poor.

I wouldn't put it quite like that. It's not perfect, granted, but it's still one of (if not THE) best postal services in the world. Obviously the more you buy, the more likely you are to experience problems with Royal Mail. But for the most part, they're Ok. Unlike places like Italy...

    However:

This doesn't help matters, and a postal service is only as good or bad as the items they are transporting. Some companies don't seem to understand the importance of protecting items during transit. Most people are quick to blame Royal Mail for bashing them around, but half the blame should go to the companies who ship delicate items in sub-standard inadequate packaging. Ie, cardboard case CE's in double-sided bubblewrap, rather than a sturdy box with approriate padding inside

  17. gurpswoo1:
Ok I should rephrase that, The postal service in my area is very bad. But in the end it's the packaging they use that gives the biggest problems. A Jiffi bag for everything will not do, it's not always the case, but by and large it what they do. But zavvi are nothing compared to play.

  18. MrBubbles:
    I love the steelbook!

  19. Atter:
Content changed, and there is no Steelbook.

Namco Bandai has sent out a correction to its previous press release - the Limited Edition will be packaged in a folded box rather than steel tin.
