This one is destined for the bargain bin just like all the fighting game LEs
^I dunno. For $60 and it being namco, I dunno... It could easily disappear. I kinda hope it sticks around because I'm not sure if I can get it right away or not.
Somone know if tekken hybrid limited edition will be release in Europe or in Quebec ?
only amazon preorder ?
thanks
Nothing yet but I would not rule it out. They did a couple special editions for Tekken 6 in the UK so there's strong possibility they'll do it for this, too. Perhaps not with the same content though.
Edit: Just as I was thinking about their Tekken 5 Ultimate Edition, I thought "Maybe they'll do one for TTT2. Not for this, it's just a demo..." Lo and behold:

I went ahead and pre ordered it today...the final message during check out was i would receive a confirmation e-mail shortly with an order number...here we are 4 hours later and still nothing...in hindsight, the arcade stick looks real vanilla plain with cheapeaned block lettering on the side, they could of done sooo much more color and art wise with tekken...the only selling point for me was the limited edition numerical part..otherwise...the whole game case and everything else outside the arcade stick can be found anywhere for around US $60.00..is it worth $250.00..plus of course, they tacked on an additional $30 for taxes and shipping. so out the door was around $280.00..this game is destined for the $29.99 bargain bin right after the holiday season..not sure if i made a wise desicion by pre ordering and buying this..did'nt really see anywhere the possibilty of outright cancellation on the clubnamco.com website... i'm having buyers remorse??!!
So.. Is it charge your card right away or they will charge once it out?
They gave me either a PayPal option or straight Credit Card Form option..i have not been charged anything yet..but then agian i've yet to receiving a confirmation e-mail..but i did check out, and it did say on their website.."thank you for your order, and there was an order no."
Yeah, I didn't pre order it because the fight stick looks very generic, and its wired, I would've bought for the sake of it being limited, but not for that price
*** Added Extreme Edition ***
I'm extremely leery of the "Extreme Edition"
1. it's clearly overpriced.
2. tekken games are known to tank in value (heck you can probably still find NEW tekken 6 LEs for 20% of their original price).
3. adding the "Extreme Edition" to my shopping cart placed the Llimited edition and the Fight Stick as two separate items. This says to me that they're not even boxed together (this is a deal breaker for me)
I was extremely excited to see a CE limited to 1000 units and numbered to boot, but given Tekken's history, the price, the fact that I don't really like collecting PS3 games and the fact that it looks REALLY be a limited CONTROLLER and not so much a limited GAME means I'm going to pass on this one.
i went ahead and did some research on the Tekken EXTREME bundle, what i learned so far is this particular arcade stick is designated as the "S" model, which is an UNCOMMON design variant, which requires "re-tooling" at the factory and currently there are NO plans to reuse this body style on the stick again, nor is it currently available elsewhere,..plus the blocky "namco" lettering is based on the namco logo from there earlier years, is more or less a throwback to those days..plus this stick being tekken hybrid specific and individually numbered with a bit of Namco history and exclusive to club namco..it may be worth something down the road,..the game package it comes with, i have little faith in, but i would suspect the arcade stick will come in a special box, with special artwork just like the other madcatz sticks..but this one is all about exclusivity, and i'm sure it will be pointed out on the designer box yet to be revealed for the stick itself.
This looks like such a waste of a Collector's edition, they could have done so much better.
What a missed opportunity.
Well, if it's any indication the previous Tekken 5 Ultimate Edition on PS2 isn't worth a lot anymore. That came with a Hori stick (good but not amazing). Hybrid comes with the Fight Stick TE-S, which from what I heard wasn't as good as the Round 1 or 2 models (I briefly used an S and thought it was ok but I'm far from pro). The stick being limited is the only reason I'd bother but MadCatz tend to price too much for them. $250 including the Hybrid game/movie? The stick is $170 tops (factoring "exclusivity" or what have you)! Standard MC sticks are $150 so what the hell...
