Resident Evil 6 Collectors Edition announced

Capcom has announced the Resident Evil 6 Collector’s Edition for Europe.

It contains:

• Resident Evil 6 game
• Zombie Steel Book
• Exclusive Resident Evil 6 hardback artbook showing concept art from the game
• Resident Evil 6 Avatar DLC code for 360 owners OR an RE6 Dynamic Theme for PS3 owners
• Ivy University, Tall Oaks hooded sweatshirt (one size)
• ‘The RE6 forces emblems’ – High quality enamelled zinc alloy emblems of the three main protagonists squad insignias, mounted and set in a limited numbered frame authenticated with signatures from Senior producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and RE6 Director Eiichiro Sasaki
• ‘Needle Bomb’ collectors box

In the UK the Collector’s Edition will be sold exclusively by retailers that are yet to be announced.

Alternatively, there’s a limited edition Steel Book version of Resident Evil 6, which will be available from all shops at around the same price as the standard version. Images of both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of this are below.

God of War: Ascension Collectors Edition announced

During the E3 2012, Sony has announced a collector’s edition for God of War: Ascension. It includes the following items:

– Steelbook case
– Kratos statue
– The digital game soundtrack
– PS3 dynamic theme
– PSN avatar pack, with double XP points for multiplayer
– And a DLC pass to unlock all future DLC releases for free

Also announced were pre-order incentives for both the standard and collector’s edition, which will include the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer DLC Pack. The collector’s edition will run $79.99, while the standard edition is $59.99. The game will be released on March 12th 2013.

Gearbox Officially Announces Aliens Colonial Marines Collectors Edition

Rumored way back in January it wasn’t until yesterday that Gearbox officially announced a Collector’s Edition for their upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Included is the following:

• Four Playable Movie Characters
  • Players will be able to fight for their squad’s survival and confront hordes of enemies as the original ALIENS film icons Private Hudson, Corporal Hicks, Private Drake and Sergeant Apone.

• Ripley’s Flamethrower
• Exclusive Multiplayer Weapons
  • Sonic Electronic Ball Breakers
  • Phase Plasma Rifle
• Exclusive Game Level

  • USS Sephora Schematic
  • Recruitment Card
  • LV-426 Recon Photo
  • USCM Iron-on Badges

Scheduled for release internationally on February 12th 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3. US pricing is $99, no official pricing has been announced for the rest of the world.
