This will be the Collector’s Edition and includes the following additional content:

I paid with credit card and have not been billed. If you use paypal, they probably take the funds right away. I was wrong, even credit card purchases are charged right away.

  6. winds:
Thanks! Ordered the signature edition for the 360. What version and on which console is everyone else ordering?

  7. Kelekin:
    I paid for a PS3 edition myself.

Surprised these aren't sold out, but I suppose it's really a price point thing.

  8. gomgomboy:

    From the various descriptions:

"All Prismere Troll figures in the Signature Edition will be signed by either Todd McFarlane, R. A. Salvatore, or Curt Schilling, are numbered 1 to 300, and normally retail individually for $175.00"

"Along with all the items featured in the Special Edition, the Collector’s Edition also comes with an individually numbered limited edition Prismere Troll figurine created by McFarlane toys in a limited run of 1,600 units. This solid resin Troll figurine stands 12.5" and normally retails individually for $125.00."

They sell the figures separately? And this being an EA game.....

I take that back. On my CC, the pre-auth has been up for an unusual time so I assumed it was temp like other sites (like amazon). I was wrong. You can also see that in the T&C listed: http://limitededitions.reckoning.com...nd-conditions/

    "PRE-SALE ITEMS

This was sent out to people who pre-ordered the Signature Edition:

    Quote:
Earlier this month, we announced the Reckoning Limited Editions, and the response from our fans was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and supportive. The Reckoning Signature Editions were so immensely popular that all 300 sold out in less than five days. In the process, due to an unexpected issue with our store system, we accidentally oversold our stock for the Reckoning Signature Edition by 12 units. It’s extremely important to us that none of our loyal fans—you—miss out on the items you ordered as a result of our mistake, so we want to assure you that will not be the case.

So, what are we doing to resolve this? We’re making sure you get what you ordered, and for a handful of fans, a little something more. We’ve put together an extra special Reckoning Limited Edition package for 12 lucky Reckoning: Signature Edition customers. The first 12 customers to respond to this email will be upgraded to the Reckoning: Exclusive Edition bundle.

What does upgrading to the Reckoning Exclusive Edition bundle entail?

We are offering a chance for our customers who purchased a Reckoning Signature Edition to upgrade to the Reckoning Exclusive Edition for free. We have only 12 of the Reckoning Exclusive Edition bundles, to cover the 12 Reckoning Signature Edition bundles we oversold. If you are one of the first 12 people to respond to this email and tell us you want to upgrade, we will automatically upgrade your Signature Edition bundle to the Exclusive Edition bundle. You will receive a confirmation email letting you know we received your request to upgrade.

What’s the difference between the Exclusive Edition bundle and the Signature Edition bundle?

Both bundles have the same type of items, but there are a few slight differences. The Exclusive Edition Todd McFarlane Reckoning sketch screen-print in the Exclusive Edition bundle will be different than the one in the Signature Edition bundle, and limited to only 12 individually numbered copies. Also, the Limited Edition McFarlane Toys Prismere Troll figure in the Exclusive Edition bundle is the same as the one in the Collector’s Edition (they are not numbered, like the Signature Edition trolls, but otherwise are identical), but the base is hand-signed by one of the Reckoning visionaries.

What does the upgraded Reckoning Exclusive Edition bundle include?
    • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PC)
    • Limited Edition, 1 of 1600, McFarlane Toys Prismere Troll figure with a base hand-signed by one of our visionaries
    • 1 of 12 individually numbered, alternate limited edition Todd McFarlane Reckoning sketch screen-prints
    • Original lithograph signed by Ken Rolston
    • Parchment map of Amalur's Faelands
    • Amalur themed 7-piece dice set and dice bag
    • Full set of 40 Destiny Cards
    • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - The Soundtrack
    • Bonus DLC - Fate-Touched Weapons Pack (Increase XP gained from Fateshift Kills with these nine weapons)
Thank you all for your continued support. We will continue to make every effort to bring you the best possible experience and products. In Amalur, every cloud has a silver lining.
They are all taken now. I responded about 40 minutes after the email and they were already gone. Hope someone here got luckier than I did!

I received this email as well, and I find it rather strange. I read over it several times and still can't seem to agree that this is actually an "upgrade". Now I agree that a limited 1 of 12 sketch is an upgrade from a 1 of 300 sketch for sure. However what gets me is this, the email says "Also, the Limited Edition McFarlane Toys Prismere Troll figure in the Exclusive Edition bundle is the same as the one in the Collector’s Edition (they are not numbered, like the Signature Edition trolls, but otherwise are identical), but the base is hand-signed by one of the Reckoning visionaries." But the original Signature edition comes with the same figurine, also signed and it is numbered, showing it as truly limited. As per the site: "All Prismere Troll figures in the Signature Edition will be signed by either Todd McFarlane, R. A. Salvatore, or Curt Schilling, are numbered 1 to 300" (view here: http://limitededitions.reckoning.com/ ) How is this an upgrade if I am losing a numbered and signed troll for a non-numbered signed troll? Just my thoughts lol.

  18. Lemur:
It's an upgrade cos instead of getting a 1/300 item you'll be getting a 1/12 item. At least that's what I think they mean.

So they upgrade 1 item, the sketch from 1 of 300 to 1 of 12 (which is great), and technically downgrade the statue from 1 of 300 numbered, to one of the regular non-numbered ones...
