Resistance 3 Special and Survivor Edition Announced, PAL exclusive.

Sony has announced that PAL regions will be getting two Collector’s Edition for Resistance 3.

The First is the Special  Edition which will include the following:

• Steelbook Packaging
• Vinyl effect Blu-ray disc
• SRPA Black Ops skin – DLC Code
• Infected Nathan Hale skin – DLC Code
• Air Fuel grenade – DLC Code
• Special multiplayer title: “Sentinel” – DLC Code
• Multiplayer booster – DLC Code

Secondly there is a Survivor Edition which will include the following:

• A canvas bag
• Chimera target practice poster
• Joseph Capelli’s journal
• Hip flask
• Playing cards
• Chimera plastic toy soldiers.
• The Special Edition of Resistance 3 above

No word on pricing or which PAL countries will get it yet, however we do know that if you pre-order the standard copy of the game you will get either some or all the DLC codes from the Special Edition as a free bonus.

Also if you pre-order the game from certain store you can get a Chimera tooth necklace.

Resistance 3 will be released on 6th September in the USA, 9th in the UK and the 7th for the rest of the world.

Emily the strange DS Limited and Collector’s Edition available to pre-order.

Andy from Pqube has informed us that both Emily the strange Limited and Collector’s Editions are now available to pre-order at: http://www.emily-game.co.uk/collectors-edition.html

The Limited Edition will retail for £34.99 and will include a branded notepad.

The Collector’s Edition will retail for £49.99 or £59.99 for users outside of the UK, it will include

– Emily the Strange secret locking diary

– Emily the Strange stylish reporters notepad

– Emily the Strange badge pack

– Emily the Strange key ring

– Emily the Strange “Strangerous” for Nintendo DS/DSi

It will ship in a presentation box and they should be numbered 1-200.

Duke Nukem Forever SteelBook Edition Availble for Pre-Order

Forum member Mike1888 noticed earlier today that FutureShop (the Canadian electronics store) is offering a SteelBook Edition of the upcoming Duke Nukem Forever on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Much like their recent Mortal Kombat SteelBook exclusive this is essentially a generic Duke Nukem Forevever themed SteelBook that is bundled alongside the standard edition of the game and provided free with a pre-order of the standard edition of the game on any platform at the regular $59.99 price. While not a “real” CE release SteelBooks have shown to hold their value among collectors so this is something collectors should strongly consider adding to their collection.

5th Anniversary Oblivion SteelBook Announced

Recently announced is a 5th Anniversary  Edition for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Coming in a 3-disc SteelBook case and available on June 28th in the USA.

This edition will fetch about $30 and will be made available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. In addition to the SteelBook case it’s slated to include the following:

• The Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansion packs
• Making of Oblivion DVD
• Oblivion game map
• Making of Oblivion DVD includes a bonus The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim trailer
• A $10 off coupon toward the purchase of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and a Skyrim strategy guide

Call of Juarez: The Cartel Outlaw Edition

I found another interesting Edition on game4game – The Call of Juarez: The Cartel Outlaw Edition.
This Edition seems not to be a game4game exclusive Edition. The item description says nothing about any exclusive rights to the site. This Edition was added to the site today and there are no further information about the table of content at this moment.  It’s only sure that the game will come in a wooden box furthermore Ubisoft has not yet confirmed if there will be more content added to the box.

Agarest: Generation of War Zero Collector’s Edition Euro PAL exclusive

This sort of came out of the blue but it looks like Europe will be getting the Collector’s Edition treatment for the recently announce Agarest: Generation of War Zero.

The Collector’s Edition will contain the following:

• Blu-ray PS3 game (with double sided inlay + colour manual)
• A3 double sided poster showing on one side the concept drawing of the image used on the inlay and on the other the finished coloured artwork
• Agarest: GoWZ Original Soundtrack.
• 3 x 3D lenticular art cards
• All of this will be packaged neatly in to a Collector’s Edition box.

Also if you pre-order the game direct from the publisher (Ghostlight), you have the  option to also purchase a Limited Edition Black T-shirt (original design to Ghostlight Smile).

Currently only the PS3 version is confirmed with Ghostlight yet to secure the rights to the Xbox 360 version.

As of yet only the UK is confirmed but other European countries are expected to get this, be on the lookout.

There is currently no confirmed release date.

Dark Souls Limited Edition announced

Namco Bandai confirmed that there will be a Limited Edition for Europe. According to CVG the pre-order campaign will start today and allows you to receive a Limited Edition for no extra costs.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a shop which is already taking pre-orders on it so we need to be more patient.

Due out October 2011, the Dark Souls Limited Edition includes the  following:

• original soundtrack
• hardcover art book
• making of video

Emily The Strange Limited Edition available for pre-order at Amazon UK

This one seems to be gone under the radar, but Amazon.co.uk have listed Emily The Strange Limited Edition. It’s been listed under PQube who are the UK Publisher for games such as Blazblue and the recent Guility Gear XX.

In terms of details all there is at the moment is a picture, however it seems to include the following:

• Branded T-Shirt ( images looks to indicate it’s a female T-Shirt)
• Branded Key Ring
• Emily the Strange: dark Times novel
• Emily the Rose Poster
• Standard copy of the game ( NDS)

The price is quite steep at £89.99 and will be released on the 10th June 2011. It’s not known at the moment if the contents will be in a single box or individual items similar to Balazble Continuum Shift Fan Edition.
